Let’s go through Michael’s Testimonial about His Spiritual Journey and Sahaja Yoga Meditation

What is Essential to Know for Context?
You can meet Michael if you’re joining our weekly Sahaja Yoga Meditation classes that are offered in Burlington all year-long at the Orchard Hub. In fact, the two images you see above, the one with “Changing the World” is from the same room where we meet every Wednesday evening at 7pm. The image with the Wings is from the same building, and it was taken on the election day this year, when we’ve been walking through the hallways. Aren’t they both carrying such inspiring messages?
We are sharing some images with nature captured earlier this spring in our beautiful Halton region – Nature and Mother Earth are always an integral part of our meditation. Let’s enjoy now Michael’s testimonial.
You will listen by the end of this Article to a Short Impromptu Interview with Michael
Michael was interviewed ad-hoc on the street just before the Flag Raising Ceremony of Sahaja Yoga Meditation Day proclaimed by the City of Burlington on June 20, 2025 to Honour its 20 dynamic years
On Friday morning, June 20, 2025 a few of us from Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network came to Burlington’s City Hall’s Plaza to prepare for the Flag Raising Ceremony. As it was a working day, not many were able to join for the set-up but Michael was able to come and help. The day before was dark with clouds and the prognosis was about the same for this day as well. However, we all remarked how progressively it became sunnier the moment we started to come together and joyfully decorate the space, getting ready for this historic moment for our team of Halton-based volunteers.

We are sharing below Michael’s Testimonial that was emailed to Ioana last week
I was introduced to Sahaja yoga meditation about a year ago and have been immersed in the transformative aspects of this practice ever since.
What has resonated with me with Sahaja yoga relates to the principles and science behind it.
I’ve intuitively felt a strong spiritual transformation the past few years, but it has been through the practice of this yoga that I’ve truly understood the meaning behind consciousness and spirituality.

Intermezzo with a Powerful Quote from Shri Mataji – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation – introducing us to the Realm of Consciousness and Spirituality:
” I bow to all the seekers of Truth.
The Truth that we are seeking has to manifest in our Consciousness.
It is not a mental projection. It’s not our imagination.
It has to express itself actually on our central nervous system. That is what the Truth is.
On your central nervous system, on your nerves, you have to feel the Truth.
But we live with mental projections.
It’s a big question today for your young people.
In my own imagination if I start feeling, “This is the Truth”, then even the falsehood can become the Truth.
That kind of an actual transformation is the Truth which one must ask for, and should not go in for some sort of a plastic transformation, which is very easy to do. We must face it and that facing is difficult because we have built those mental projections and we want to live with the mental projections, and our ego does not allow us to see the point at all.
Now, one has to go beyond the mental projection. And how do you do it? How are you triggered out into that space where you are beyond thoughts and you are completely aware?
Something has to happen within ourselves, a living thing, just like an egg becoming the bird.
In the many rituals that we do there’s the hand of the Unconscious that guides us.
So the main Seeking within us is the seeking for God, seeking for our Evolution, seeking for our higher dimension of Collective Consciousness and that is what we have to achieve.
Without that this world cannot be saved, cannot be emancipated. There’s no other way out but the transformation of human beings. It’s only the transformation that is going to work it out, nothing else. So, this living process has to work out within us so that we achieve our seeking, our fulfillment, our absolute. And that is something that cannot be discussed, talked about. It has to happen. ”
Excerpt from Shri Mataji’s talk on Sept 21, 1983, during a Public Program in Houston, USA
We continue with Michael’s Story about the Help he received from Sahaja Yoga Meditation:

The following is What we All should Absorb – the Universal Truth felt in Michael’s Testimonial:
Learning about the three channels and seven chakras that constitute our energetic makeup has allowed me to dive deeper into my own spiritual truths and discover my self-realization.
Meditation begins when thoughts turn inward toward mother Kundalini and Source.
Practicing thoughtless awareness has proven to have a profound impact on my ability to meditate effectively.
The classes I’ve been attending every Wednesday evening have taught me so much about yoga (the union and connection to our higher selves) and spirituality.
In addition, practicing this form of yoga has inspired me to learn more about myself, the universe and other fascinating topics including: astrology, numerology and quantum physics.
It’s an ongoing process of learning and self-discovery I believe will last me for the rest of my life.
If only Everyone would Experience such a Profound Inner-Transformation, as disclosed in the final part of Michael’s open letter to our readers:
Practicing Sahaja yoga has allowed me to become more selfless; being of service to others and being kind and compassionate are the principles I chose to live by.
When we meditate together, I feel a collective consciousness working subtly as we enhance our meditative state.
I’ve come to learn you do not practice yoga, you become it.
Learning about the energy flow allows us to find an equilibrium in life and within ourselves which can be a challenge in today’s modern world.
Balancing the channels and chakras within our body can lead to a transformative experience as we raise the Kundalini energy up our spines to the Sahasrara chakra.
I am grateful for the experience with Sahaja yoga and have a great sense of peace and balance when I practice.
We all have the ability to cleanse and nourish our energetic centres in order to evolve as spiritual beings.

Ioana’s Note: Earlier this week Michael introduced Sahaja Yoga Meditation to his colleagues at work through a presentation so they can learn about the benefits of this practice. It went very well and some of his colleagues want to join our Burlington class!
Did you know that July is the “Guru Purnima‘s Month” so the timing was perfect!
The image below is from another Project at the Burlington Class; Michael was part of it. As always with our collective endeavours, it was another way of helping us all evolve as spiritual beings that manifest joy, creativity, collectivity and kindness
What else?! We also experienced Vibrations and the Kundalini Energy’s flow during our Weekend Seminars when we spend more time together: learning, dancing, meditating!

Impressive sharing from Michael. We are always glad to see you in class and you are definitely one that has grown so deeply since you started. It seems you have discovered the power of inner silence. In that silence you are in the silence of the cosmos. You are unlimited. And you show just how easy it is and how simple for anyone to try. I remember how it happened for me in the beginning. And I only wanted to know and experience more of that peace. Keep going!
Wow I just want to say thank you for putting this incredible article together! I’m truly honoured to be apart of such a special network. Learning about Sahaja yoga has been a blessing! Thank you all!
Thank you for your testimony Michael. This article is great and to see how everything worked out.
The more we attend the classes, the more we learn about ourselves. The light of knowledge just shines on your face and in your temperament. We see Michael in the classes quite regularly and it’s pretty evident from his testimony that the knowledge and the experience he is receiving from these classes are helping him. It reminded me how it helped me or still helps me to feel connected to the all pervading power around us.
