From Adam and Eve to Three Yoginis and One Interview at SUFI Adam’s Day

Our Halton team of volunteers from Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network had the honour to be invited again to Adam’s Day

Ioana captured the moon in Burlington. It felt like a poem from the beginning of times.

This article is sharing moments from August 10, 2024 when we participated to Adam’s Day event. As always, there is more to what meets the eye or to the words we share; therefore, we invite you to a meditative experience.

The Eye in the Sky followed us on our way back from the Sufi Event hosted in Mississauga

Beautiful details found on the trails we followed that weekend. This flower reminded me of the crown (Sahasrara) chakra. Isn’t it like a world in itself!

Intro to the connection between Sahaja Yogi Meditators of Halton and the Sufi Azeemi Canada

There is a beautiful (about fourteen year old) relationship of mutual respect and understanding between the Sufi Azeemi Canada organization and our team of volunteers from Free-Meditation team (Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network).

Further below you can explore a collection of articles providing sahaj knowledge and marking our long lasting participation to Adam’s Day – the annual event offered by our Sufi friends. In the previous years, our yogini representative was invited to speak and provide inspirational moments to the Adam’s Day gathering. Some of these special moments of shared positive energy were recorded. You can try and feel / re-live them!

Even during the pandemic we were invited by the Sufi Azeemi Canada to provide a recorded speech / inspirational message. We placed our heart into that video message! Yes, you can watch it by the end of the article. 🙂

Let’s start this posting with Two Wisdom Quotes from Shri Mataji – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation

Subtle reference to Adam and Eve, from a spiritual yet also evolutionary perspective:

First Quote of Sahaj Wisdom:

“A very long way has taken for our evolution.

If  Adam and Eve had listened to God, it would have been much easier 🙂 but you know how human beings are, they want to know by difficult ways and learn by experience.

It has taken so long for us to become human beings, but evolution has not stopped because we have not got our purpose.

We are still at a relative relationship. We don’t understand anything in absolute manner; that is why there is a chaos.

It has to work out in such a way that, all of us should know the same truth; there cannot be two truths, there has to be one and in this evolution whatever you have gained has been felt on your central nervous system and that’s very important.

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – Talk offered during a Public Program at the State Theatre in Sydney, Australia on May 7, 1987

Second Quote of Sahaj Wisdom:

It has to work out in a way that this Kundalini [energy], which is a natural process of evolutionary process- has to rise and pierce through your fontanel bone area to give you realization.

Please understand there’s nothing artificial about it. It’s like sprouting a seed, it’s that natural.

Of course in the olden times there were very few people who got realization [had their Kundalini energy awakened], very few.

I would say that time, the Tree of Life was just growing, there were very few flowers, but today it’s a blossom time!

I believe and also I’ve discovered a method somehow, with great meditative efforts, an effort by which thousands people can get realization and once you get realization, you can give realization to others.

Once you get this power within you, you can cure others.

Once you get this power within yourself you are absolutely at peace with yourself.

Your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual being is completely integrated. “

Our participation to Adam’s Day 2024 – Sufi Azeemi’s annual event

Shivangna, Ioana and Kruti enjoying the Adam’s Day event. Our three sahaja yoginis experienced a state of serenity and maintained a meditative state.

Three Sahaja Yoginis represented Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network team of volunteers

This time we listened to various speakers and were also surprised to see that the beautiful presentation provided by the organizing team included moments from our team’s participation from previous years. 🙂 Glad to feel the pure love between Yogis and Sufis! Our teacher – Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – often mentioned how close in Spirit Sufis are to Yogis.

Adam’s Day was celebrated xoon after the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples that our 100 Seeds of Joy team of volunteers honoured with two free community events that were well received in Burlington. Therefore, Ioana felt compelled to wear a top that evoked our love for Mother Earth, and a hand made traditional vest from Central America.

Ioana (SYMN) was interviewed during the event on behalf of Free-Meditation group:

We had the pleasure of meeting again and talking with Mrs. Rashida Jilani, who is in charge for the Sufi Azeemi Canada.

It’s always lovely to meet the Sufi family, and this time we also had the honour to sit at the table with Mrs. Rashida Jilani and took the opportunity to personally invite her and the Sufi Azeemi family to our own annual event, The Festival of Inner Lights on November 2024, in Burlington.

With this ocassion we brought posters and flyers from our free events that we offer in the Halton community and it was lovely to see the great interest received from everyone. We hope to reconnect before the end of the year!

Our roses, they do talk about unity in diversity, don’t they?!

We the sahaja yogis of halton have deep respect for this very special Adam s day event. We make it a point to always participate with an open heart and we receive many open hearts in return. I enjoyed the beautiful photos of this event and Shri Mataji s precious words on Adam, Eve and evolution. It’s that natural as sprouting a seed ..we have yet to evolve where there are no two truths. Just one truth and we feel it on our central nervous system. Shri Mataji has given this precious gift of knowing who we are and feeling this truth. The one truth. Just the mention of this brings so much peace in my being. Thank you for this beautiful article.

To celebrate Adam’s day with sufi Azeemi family is very special. There were different speakers who presented on that day and they all talked about oneness and how as a part of community we can help each other. This is what the volunteers of 100 seeds of joy are doing as well. Through the beautiful and simple meditation techniques of Sahaja Yoga, we are engaging children, adults, and seniors from different communities and bringing them together. It’s always our pleasure to be invited to such valuable events and to share our love with each other.
