You are Invited to Meditate on Reaching Sublimity through Pure Relationships when One feels in One’s heart that the Other is a Sister or a Brother
Have you Ever Wondered how our Chakras’ Energies Help bring Down our Ego and Support our Evolution from Within?
You are invited to take a strong stroll through this garden of wisdom quotes, collected from the talks of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation.
You are Invited to Meditate on Reaching Sublimity through Pure bonds that are real and sincere, thus acting within our own subtle energy system and externally while positively transforming our own life and the overall society.
This weekend is special: many celebrate the Raksha Bandhan Festival, that is mainly focused on the brother-sister relationship, the kind of sisterly/brotherly relationship that is not blood based, but it is based on the pure bond: being caring and supporting of another’s wellbeing and spiritual evolution, as we’d be for our own sibling.
At least, this is how Sahaja Yogis should be, when following the teachings of their spiritual guide – Shri Mataji.
This weekend in Halton there are two Free Workshops focused on Throat Chakra – Vishuddhi
On Sunday we offer a special public seminar in Burlington: details and link by the end of this article. 🙂
On Saturday we have a private Going Deeper seminar with those that are regularly joining our Burlington and Oakville weekly classes and events, and who started to incorporate sahaja yoga meditation in their life, to achieve inner balance.
Also, they have to be eager to dive deeper within, and are open for more subtle knowledge and introspect, ultimately aiming to grow to have a pure and encompassing heart.

What makes Sahaja Yoga Meditation so special is that it takes us to the roots of our mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspects.
This is important because most of the times these aspects are neglected and if they are damaged or hurt we tend to them superficially; with no knowledge about their essences and their subtle beginnings and inter-connections.
For instance, did you know that our relationships are managed by a subtle energy center (chakra), called Vishuddhi?!
This center has three aspects, each one with its own role and taking care of certain relationships, can be blocked or damaged in particular ways and can be healed or strengthened also with a particular set of techniques.
In this article we focus on such subtle influences on the Whole – with the revealing wisdom shared by Shri Mataji.
There are Unusual Ways to Bring down the Ego and Improve the Vishudhhi Chakra of Collectivity
Shri Mataji was teaching the Sublimity of Pure relationships during an international event held in the UK on Aug 11, 1984:
“Now the whole idea of this.. is such that when you have called somebody as a sister or a brother then it is not only lip service, ‘You are my sister‘. It is something innate, and very deep.
“You have to develop that feeling of a sister.
Because that’s how your Sublimity will go up, your left-Vishuddhi chakra (energy centre placed on the left side between the neck and the shoulder) will improve, your Vishnumaya principle will be satisfied. “
Note: Shri Vishnumaya announced the arrival of Lord Krishna; she incarnated as Draupadi, wife of epic hero Arjuna and the raki-sister of Lord Krishna – all playing pivotal roles in the Mahabharata epic as well are considered archetypes / divine principles that exist in precise aspects of the Vishuddhi chakra.
Introspective tip: Are you currently experiencing in your life such a feeling of a sister or a brother? Is it felt as deep and innate? Is it for other human being than your blood-sister or blood-brother? Imagine our world if human beings would cultivate such feelings for each other.
We find out Where the Ego tries to hide within our Subtle Energy System map as well How we should Maintain Our Pure Relationships
Shri Mataji is telling us about the subtle architecture supporting our Relationships:
“If you call somebody a sister, the sisterly and daughterly relationships, and motherly relationships, always bring down the so-called Ego, which is hiding in the Left Vishuddhi (chakra).
So try to be kind and gentle with the person whom you call the Sister.
Stand by her. Look after her.
Somebody you call your Brother, you have to pray for his protection; then you must know that you have a right to ask him for his protection also.
But you must also give something to him, and you must try to look after him, welcome him to your house, and treat him as a part and parcel of your being, because he is very much near to you because he is your brother, and he’s very much closer to you.
But such a brother should not try to dominate .. “

We can meditate on the Importance of Purity and Sincerity in Yoga (Unity)
You have two other quotes from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation:
“Try to be sincere.
Purity is brought forth by Sincerity.
If you are not sincere to yourself and to others, you cannot be pure.
And purity is the main thing you have to achieve in Sahaja Yoga, apart from the unity, which I have given you.
But if you do not use this Unity for Purity, no use.
So this light should give you complete wisdom that you enjoy a pure good life.”
“So apart from ego, superego, the worst thing that has happened to those modern societies is that they have lost the Innate understanding of Purity.
So it’s a very sweet relationship of Purity, of Help.
A very delicate relationship is to be maintained of a Brother and a Sister.
And that is a special relationship.
Today, those who want to tie the Rakhis to a sister should tie today before me, it will be a good idea. It is a greater relationship than any other relationship.
So the brother and sister relationship should be alright.
In that also one should not have preferences because some would like to have a rich sister 🙂
Or some sort of a nonsense like that. Or somebody would like to have the most miserable one. 🙂
This is all but a relationship with a person with whom you would like to be happy, you should tie the Rakhi.
And if there is anybody left out, I would say that best thing would be to have your lucky dips. 🙂
I think for people, something like that could be done so that they choose their sisters and tie the things. Whichever way you like you choose it. :-)”
