Enjoy the Stories from the “Healing Your Heart with Meditation and Art” Event
We gathered together a Collage of Stories from the “Healing Your Heart with Meditation and Art” Free Event offered on March 28, 2026 in Burlington – The fruit of a Beautiful Collaboration.

There was a Full House with participants coming from Dundas, Oakville, Burlington, Etobicoke and Brampton – All eager to experience Healing their Hearts with Meditation and Art workshop.
This program came together in record time! With the newest initiative of the 100 Seeds of Joy team from Halton’s Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network dedicated to Youth and launched in February 2026, there were several community partners that already contacted us for collaborations in Oakville and Burlington.
Earlier in March we had two collaborations with Bling Events International Entertainment (FAME Program), in both Youth meditators and artists were featured and all participants were able to learn about and experience the benefits of Sahaja Yoga Meditation, as well were introduced to beautiful artforms and art based experiences.
It was lovely to have talented young people among us. We can mention Kush, now a high school valedictorian who started joining the Cool Kids & Parents meditation classes in Halton with his parents since he was very young; also Keisha who is volunteering from a young age, making Burlington proud!
This was also our first collaboration with Djenabe, a Haitian-Canadian multi-disciplinary artist, writer & curator, a Burlington resident who participated to a 100 Seeds of Joy guided Sahaja Yoga Meditation experience offered for the Annual General Meeting of Burlington’s Art & Culture Council, and she, then, felt a connection.
The final connector was Carlene (FAME program; with roots in Trinidad) who reached out to Ioana (Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network), to see if we can offer a “last minute” Program in March, that would combine the strengths from both initiatives.
Djenabe is seen in the photo above, introducing the participants to “A Collage Workshop Experience” (a program she created), right after 100 Seeds of Joy offered a Guided “Sahaja Yoga Meditation Experience” and collected beautiful feedback from Everyone in the room
The guided meditation was very deep, and we prepared all participants to it by introducing them to the fundamentals of Sahaja Yoga Meditation and to its founder – Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -, whose birthday we celebrated the previous weekend during a free public program dedicated to Nowruz – the Persian New Year.
A testament to the Power of Meditation: during the guided meditation workshop people kept coming in, moving and bringing chairs in, yet by the end of it not one reported discomfort or complained about noise or distractions.
Everyone’s faces were shinning, and those that joined really later mentioned the positive energy that was in the room and how they were able to feel it, the peace. One lady complimented us that the moment she stepped into the room and looked at us, she felt that we transmit .. Joy! Mission accomplished for the 100 Seeds of Joy team!
Let’s pay Attention to the Written Feedback Notes collected from Participants as well to the following photos and stories shared with you! Interesting enough, by the End of the Program, we concluded it with a Short Meditation to express our Gratitude for Mother Earth & for Each Other

Everyone shared what they felt inside, as well the type of energy experienced during the Guided Meditation Workshop: some felt clear coolness above the Crown chakra or in their palms, other experienced warm or hot sensations and we decoded their significance, based on the science of sahaja yoga meditation.
After meditating together, we were ready to be inspired by Djenabe’s Collage Workshop, when we all allowed to follow our Heart’s direction and express ourselves. There were quite significant Stories that came together in our collages, revealing of the past and aiming to our heart’s intended future! We will share with you some in the next photos and experiences.

We are Sharing with You the Feedback Notes about how the Program was Experienced
From Eve Edouard (first time joining our meditation classes):
“The meditation was very nice, I Felt at Peace! From the moment I stepped into the room!
At this rate your classes will need more space for all the attendees.“
From Djenabe (co-organizer of the event):
“The meditation was very calm and grounding.
I felt connected to my heart and a subtle release of grief.”
From Ellen (first time joining our meditation classes):
“A great day! I feel I’ll start doing a couple of things to heal the heart!”
From Kruti (who comes from far to attend the 100 Seeds of Joy events):
“The meditation helped me to bring attention on my spirit and the art work that was followed after was just amazing.“
From Karan (who loves joining our Youth Meditation classes and events):
“Through the meditation I was so thoughtless that I couldn’t even hear anything else.
I felt cool in my Nabhi (3rd energy center), which shows peace and also Agnya (6th enery center) which shows forgiveness.”

We were very glad to see Everyone Enjoying every part of this Program! Again, we had people that were reunited at this Program, community leaders that have not seen each other for a while, so Yes, we bring our Community Together in such beautiful ways!
You are encouraged to pay attention to a few images from the “Collage Workshop Experience”, they tell personal stories, a few were shared during the event, but it feels good to share it with a larger audience, so we can all wonder and enjoy!
Pradeep’s Collage included the Date that connects to his first Self-Realization experience and expresses one’s Spirituality that cannot be contained or framed. His life blossomed after joining our 100 Seeds of Joy – Sahaja Yoga Meditation Classes here in Burlington, that’s his message too!
Ioana’s collage also used the Burlington map (completely unrelated to Pradeep’s artwork), and elements of Canadian’s beauty- the warm fall colours and the eternal green of the Tree of Life. The Vision one had, that started in Burlington, moved the chakra wheels and the wheels of Time.
You might understand Why we are Sharing the following Quotes of Wisdom from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation – from a Speech offered on July 6, 1998
during the Public Program in Holland Park School, London, UK
“Such Oneness you’ll feel in literature, in art, in everything.
It’s One world I’m talking about, one world of Divinity.
May God bless you! “
This program came together based on unconditional trust, we never collaborated this way before, yet the Oneness was felt, not only among the organizing team members, but among all participants, coming from various walks of life, origins and age groups.
Thank You Everyone, we felt blessed to spend together such positive time, meditating, introspecting and revealing ourselves through the art workshop, laughing and eating together:
living together for three hours in a small room, in complete harmony.

Beautiful article and stories. Thanks for sharing. All participants seem engaged and happy. Seeds of Joy being planted. ❤️
We were all bubbling with joy, feeling grateful not just for meditation or for showing off our talents through art, but also connecting with new seekers. The art-workshop by Djenabe was appreciated by everyone, she is so humble and talented. It was great to see some young Canadian participants. Way to go! We shared food, stories, and even received some gifts for answering some fun trivia questions by Carlene. She is amazing. It was a lovely afternoon spent in community, spreading positivity.
Robust and enthusiastic attendees enjoying peace and creativity. The collages are beyond fantastic. It feels joyous to watch all the great moments captured. Such a successful event, such a great time had by all. It is truly lovely to harmonize with other lovely groups who want to make this world a more joyful place. Well done to all the teams and all the participants . ✅mission inner peace and inspired creativity accomplished.
Love and creativity. Two divine qualities which were in abundance at your class. Beautiful art crafts, joyful smiles from the participants. Amazing.
The focus on feeling what we feel when in meditation is so dynamic, so strength building. So be open to surrendering what arises in awareness brings the inner peace and healing.
The expressions in the art work help so much to support the awareness and the ability to surrender.
Thanks very much for sharing the events, so helpful. Thanks very much.
At first I didn’t think I could make it …but the universe organised it that I could. So glad I was able to come. Had a great mediation I was in the present during the meditation. Detached from what was going around me… still remember how I felt being in meditation. The art afterwards worked out beautifully. Great work everyone!
Had a wonderful experience. I was so glad that I was able to come. At first, I felt that I’m not good at crafts and won’t be able to make it as I haven’t done this before but somehow, the universe supported me through it. Meditation also helped me to feel completely detached from my surroundings—it was a truly an amazing experience.
Congratulations! You are all performing a great job.
