Colleen’s Realization from Experience India event

Letter from ColleenBurlington Sahaja Yoga Meditation class –  sharing her Feedback from Experience India” Special Event

Ahilan playing Tabla at “Experience India” event offered by Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network in Burlington, Aug 2012

Colleen started sharing her feedback  (realization) from “Experience India” public event:

“When I was at Brant Hills in Burlington for the *Experience India* event on Sat. Aug. 25,2012, I had a life changing experience!!! It was absolutely amazing. I had started to meditate when they were still setting up. Ahilan started tabla playing, I then opened my eyes and looked at him and to the large poster of Shri Mataji behind him (see it in this photo)

and the tears started to stream down my face.

There was no *thought* or *feeling* behind it, *it just was*.

I was a little embarrassed at first and started to wipe away the tears, but then I realized that this is the place and the time to just let go, so I did.

I just *felt* the music. Within a few moments two words popped into my head, *I’M HOME*,

and then the tears just started to really flow. I just let it go, and they just kept on coming until the music stopped!!

My heart just SWELLED up inside of me the whole time I was there!!!

The whole experience was absolutely incredible!! That two hours that morning just flew by and I didn’t want it to end!!!

I will never forget that for eternity!!! It changed me, I can now not get enough Indian music, especially the ‘tabla’ drums.

I am now researching India and seeing what that will lead me to. I can’t seem to get enough. Sahaja Yoga has brought me to a whole other level of my spiritual path. I am so grateful!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! (I just re-read what I wrote, and the love just swelled up in my chest and the tears started again), ALL OF THIS IS JUST AMAZING!!! I have so much more to share, these incredible, profound moments that have happened to me, but I will save that for another time. Thank you. Love to all.” (Colleen is a ‘2 months old’ sahaja yogini from Burlington class :-))

    hello Collen,
Welcome to the inner joy of your self! We all are amazed when we can feel this joy while listening to music, such a simple thing which gives such an inner experience of bliss: tabla is the instrument that are the most connected to the heart because of the pulsation, the beat. It is also the music on which the deity Shiva dances, who resides in the heart. I also enjoy a lot Indian music and even more when it is played by Sahaja Yogis/nis. I also love the music created by Yogis and Yoginis which has got the same depth

Thank you Anaic, this music is so beautiful, and so ironic that the instrument of the heart made my heart sing!!

So touching! I felt your sincere words and your tears of joy deep in my heart! This is sahaj connection…and I felt your inner state of peace…it was like, suddenly, you experienced something described by William Blake:
“To See a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
    And Eternity in an hour.”
…Sahaj love for Collen from Doina Mira !

I remember seeing your face on the meet up for free meditation and I felt like all my attention went to you and was hoping you would find this to be the true path…and here you are bubbling over with happiness! It is a good lesson for all of us to follow our happiness…the kind that opens your heart and helps you to feel the truth on your fingertips and your purpose in life…to connect with the divine, and feel the yoga! Hello dear Colleen,

When I first came to Sahaja Yoga, some time ago, you will not be surprised to hear that what it attracted me to this wonderful group of new people, beyond my intense seeking of Truth and the presence of a shiny and magnetic photograph of Shri Mataji, was the soul of the meeting conductor, a lady that was so emotional and shy, having her first time while speaking to a large audience, so sweet, so sincere and like a true sister, this opened my heart so much and even if I had no tabla or other instruments to make my heart singing like in an orchestra along with the musicians, love and kindness alone were my music and when the mental is not challenged and you have a friendly assistance from such a lovely conductors, this mental is tamed and the heart is allowed to become Big and with imponderability: Light! Welcome Home and allow your own heart to sing you in silence like a secret celestial orchestra of angels! Love, Cristina B.

Seeing my mom change since she started in Sahaj has been an incredible experience. All I knew in the beginning was that it made her happy and joyful, and eventually it started to change her for the better, and our relationship along with it; we never had a bad relationship, but she started to become more compassionate and understanding and it’s helped a lot (you’re still a work in progress, but we’re getting there 😉 lol).

All her stories about how amazing Sahaja Yoga was and the great things she experienced in class brought me to the classes as well, and for that I will be forever grateful; we get to grow and learn together now, and it’s great to have another who understands to discuss it all with. You’re a great Sahaja Yogini, but you’ll always be an even better mom! I love you!

    ~Sam
