Beauties from an Evening of Flute Music and Meditation

Enjoy the Collection of Beauties from this June’s evening of Flute Music and Meditation

On Tuesday June 12th, 2023 we enjoyed an Evening of Bamboo Flute Music and Meditation at Centennial Hall in Burlington, with Shivangna and her Flute Teacher (music Guru): Deep Ganguly, who is a 3rd generation Indian bamboo flautist .

The photo 1 and 3 from the Photo Gallery shared above, were taken right after this special program.

In fact Mother Nature, from above and around, seemed determined to contribute generously to our Joyful Meditative state! Check our photo-album.

Participants felt the depth of the meditative state and they described it so poetically! Therefore, with this article we feel inspired to share 2 poems: 1 by Rabindranath Tagore (Little Flute) and one by Shivangna (Seedlings).

Little Flute – poem by Rabindranath Tagore

That evening in the central garden by the Burlington library All flowers seemed to be like flutes singing praise to Mother Nature.

Thou hast made me endless, such is thy pleasure. This frail
vessel thou emptiest again and again, and fillest it ever with fresh life.

This little flute of a reed thou hast carried over hills and dales,
and hast breathed through it melodies eternally new.

At the immortal touch of thy hands my little heart loses its limits in
joy and gives birth to utterance ineffable
.

Thy infinite gifts come to me only on these very small hands of mine.
Ages pass, and still thou pourest, and still there is room to fill.

poem by Rabindranath Tagore
Excerpt from the official ad ran by our partners from the City of Burlington. It was a beautiful collaboration for another joyful community event offered by the 100seedsofjoy initiative!. Stay tuned for our next event: hopefully coming in August or September 2023.
Shivangna from Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network led a beautiful meditation and helped everyone to reach out the Crown Chraka – Sahasrara and aim for the state of Self-Realization and “union” known in the yoga and meditation practice.
We could not help it and took a few photos with Kumkum our lovely host from the Central Library in Burlington and some other participants, including the team from Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network.

We love Burlington with all that it has to offer! That evening was spectacular — and lots of fun and even yummy as we ended with great conversations around a great dinner table with visiting guests that came from far away to meditate with us and partake in flute music. We are looking forward to the Next one!

Listening to Shivangna playing flute has always been my joyful moment. She just takes us into deep meditation and we can feel vibrations flowing strong in our hands. We love you Shivangna and hope to hear more and more flute music in future. What a difference we feel in our vibratory awareness when we listen to it! Thank you.

That evening I once again witnessed greatness with two incredible flute players, Shivangana and her teacher. The energy could be felt. The molecules in the room and all around were dancing as we felt our own energy rise and bow with gratitude for the beautiful session. Look forward to each and every meditation and all the permutations and combinations offered to help others to feel the bliss too through the creative arts. This is the goal of yoga, to connect to our higher self, to grow to expand and evolve into a new awareness. It has been an ever surprising journey for me. One filled with wonder and delight.
