“Throughout the ages there have been many seekers of truth.
They often fled to Mountains and Valleys to Meditate and Seek God.” Shri Mataji
“Because if you want to be in Sahaja Yoga you have to see the two sides: one is the Mountain and the other is the Valley. If you want to climb it, you need to have desire, power. If you don’t have pure desire it will not work. “
“It is important, see, even I feel all this standing like a witness to you, silent witness.
When I see big, big mountains, I think they are like Great Saints who are watching and they are trying to record what is happening in this world, because they also understand, they also know.”“I have to again and again tell you that today is the day to see your own self, your own chakras, your own, I should say, defects. That will give you permanently the joy that is promised ; you will get thoughtless awareness, also you’ll get doubtless awareness. But never get into the trap of your conditioning (Superego) and of your Ego.“
We are all fascinated by Mountains and Valleys. One becomes spontaneously meditative and spiritually inclined when one experiences such expressions of Nature’s grandeur and majesty. Plus the Silence that fills these spaces becomes Meditation itself .. so the quotes above, hope you’ve enjoyed. They are all from Shri Mataji’s lectures. Let’s also meditate upon the following wonderful quotes wise and Sahaj – from the writer G. K. Chesterton and from the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation -in case we continue with the association Valley-Superego and Mountain-Ego..
“One sees great things from the Valley; only small things from the Peak.”
by G. K. Chesterton
“IF YOU HAVE TO COME TO SAHAJA YOGA YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU HAVE TO TREAD ON THIS NARROW PATH, ON ONE SIDE OF WHICH IS MOUNTAIN AND ON THE OTHER SIDE IS VALLEY. SO TO ASCEND THIS, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THAT
DETERMINATION, THAT WISDOM AND THAT PURE DESIRE, IT WILL NOT WORK OUT, YOU WILL BE STUCK SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN. “Shri Mataji – the founder of Sahaja Yoga meditation

In such simple words and analogy, Shri Mataji reveals deep truth to us !
With rising of our attention from the 1st chakra, deeply embedded in earth element , more and more truth is shown to us from within , till it reaches the peak, the sahasara, which is the top of the mountain. Only when we see things from the top that we get a complete vision of the whole, the perfect bird’s eye-view. Nature shows us so much, if only we could care to learn from it !!
These mountains remind me of the place where I live. So somehow I feel connected
to the wonderful landscape in your fotos.
I wish I could have been there with you all.
Christl
How beautiful is Mother. Let us open our heart and minds and seek that which is the truth.
Lots of love always.
“my thoughts on mountains and valleys”
Sometimes…when we are in a hurry we try to go straight up the mountain… and likewise sometimes straight down into the alley… that makes the journey difficult…and we see, hear and smell nothing because we are in a hurry”!
Why not take a spiral kind of trip…gradually around the valley floor… and then to ascend slowly… perhaps we will even come back to a point close to where we started… to remind us of the thing we need to pay attention too… and then we expand outward again… always ascending… perhaps even a momentary descent to remind ourselves againof what we have forgotten… and then to expand outward again… and still ascending”
It is like the growth of a flower…look inside sometime, and you will see this circular kind of design… the parts… ever moving outward and upward…reaching to the light… just as we wish to do… and will do…
