Did you know? The May 5th 2026 was Proclaimed “Sahaja Yoga Meditation Day” by the City of Burlington and will be celebrated with A Flag Raising Ceremony
We are honored to celebrate our 21 years of uninterrupted active community service in Burlington with the Proclamation of “Sahaja Yoga Meditation Day” of May 5th, 2026 by the Burlington Mayor.
On Friday, April 17 we were announced to come to the City Hall for the Proclamation; it was a beautiful day and we are sharing a few images collected during our walks on Burlington’s trails that day.
Later, we will share with you something equally beautiful, the preparations for May 5th during Halton’s “Crown – Sahasrara Chakra Meditation Seminar” hosted by one of our volunteers who moved recently from Oakville to Burlington downtown (Halton rocks!), including some incredible pictures from that day.
Enjoy the Photos from the Day when the Proclamation was Ready for our Volunteers

On the same day when Ioana collected the Proclamation of Sahaja Yoga Meditation Day from Burlington City Hall, another Volunteer (Sarah) went by the Lake and shared these Photos!
It’s interesting that the volunteering trend in Canada shows a downfall. Less people show interested for volunteering in Canada while in the same time, is a greater need than ever before for services towards the population that are provided by volunteers.
We know this based on the solid studies done in Canada, but also because so many community partners and various organizations are contacting our team (based on recommendations, as we have a stellar reputation), more than ever before for series of meditation, yoga and wellness workshops.
Instead, our Cultivators of Joy team of volunteers (from Halton’s Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network) we see an ascending trajectory in volunteering, primarily for two reasons.
Firstly, the participants that join our FREE classes offered in Burlington would witness / verify the positive benefits of our sahaja yoga meditation workshops for their own wellbeing. Secondly, they also realize what a wonderful and genuine group of caring and effective people we are (just stating a truth, no boasting here!).
Then, naturally they want to join us, then they want to help and contribute and pass the “good deeds” on!
Therefore, our team of volunteers is growing steadily and organically.
Sarah is one of our newest volunteers and the following photos she sent on the same very day of April 17th show this white rainbow formed about the waters of Lake Ontario right next to the Burlington Pier.
Oscar, our dear four-legged friend who joins our Burlington meditation classes and most of our events, seemed to be quite joyfully meditative about it too!
Enjoy Sarah’s Feedback after hosting the “March 21st – Going Deeper Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Seminar”, to understand the caliber of our New Volunteers
“It was truly an honor to host the celebration of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi’s birthday on March 21st.
Having recently moved into my new home and stepped into a new season of life, I chose to open my doors even though everything isn’t fully complete yet. One of Shri Mataji’s teachings stayed with me: time waits for no one.
When we surrender to our path, everything unfolds as it should—we are not meant to become slaves to time.
And it did unfold beautifully.
The gathering grew naturally, everything came together in harmony—the colors, the food, the flowers—but most of all, the collective joy and the beautiful vibrations filled the space.
The smiles, the presence, the energy… It was something truly special.
I feel deeply grateful to everyone who came and shared their presence and vibrations with me and my new home.
Thank you for being part of this moment —
Thanks, Sarah“
You will Realize soon What a Special Day was last Sunday when we Shared the News about the Proclamation of “Sahaja Yoga Meditation Day” and the Flag Raising Ceremony with the Halton Family of Meditators during the “Sahasrara – Crown Chakra Seminar” in Downtown Burlington.

We realized that we better inform as soon as possible our Halton volunteers and the regular participants that join our classes and events, so they can enjoy and participate creatively in all preparations related to the Flag Raising & Proclamation event.
Therefore, we scheduled the “Sahasrara – Crown Chakra Halton Seminar” in Burlington last Sunday” focused on the 7th chakra that’s about unity, integration and self-realization. It was an opportunity to teach & learn more about the subtle energy system, to introduce massage techniques that release stress in the limbic area, as well to meditate deeper.
As always Mother Nature was very cooperative, and when we arrived at the seminar’s location we saw like a lotus flower formation of clouds, then, when we returned from the seminar, the sky became a canvas for an Ethereal Artist.
We shared (above) two photos, but we must share with you a few more! The first one below is provided by Sarah – on the same evening with our Crown Chakra Seminar she saw a Crown Chakra above the Lake Ontario’s Burlington lakeshore. Underneath there are images of the Crown chakra as described in the Chakra System as well an image with the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation – Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – and the white wave of energy during Her work on the crown chakra during an International Sahaja Yoga Meditation “Sahasrara Chakra” Seminar with thousands of yogis. Enjoy!
