Good news: our 100 Seeds of Joy Youth Wellness Sessions received Great Appreciation from two Halton Schools!

100 Seeds of Joy Youth Wellness Sessions received (again!) Great Feedback from Students and Appreciation, as well Recommendation Letters from Two Halton Schools!
We re-launched our popular “100 Seeds of Joy” Youth Wellness initiative in February this year, when Burlington’s Youth joined our first free sessions with great aplomb.
Even their parents were surprised to see how they paid attention to the informative sessions and started to open up during the seminar organized with help from a McMaster University student who also volunteers with our 100 Seeds of Joy team.

Did You Know? We offered multiple FREE 100 Seeds Of Joy Youth Wellness sessions Every month this year!
The photos we provided earlier are related to two meditation and yoga sessions we offered earlier in March in a Halton school. If you’re interested to learn more about them we will provide links (by the end of this post) to the articles sharing information about our youth wellness sessions offered in February and March 2026.
However, this article is about two youth wellness sessions we offered in the month of May in two Halton schools. We gave special attention to May, being the Month of Mental Health Awareness as well the month in which the International Day of Living Together in Peace is celebrated.
What do you say about this? On May 5, 2025 our team went to the “Our Lady of Peace” School to Teach Meditation and Yoga to their students – such a ‘God sent‘ invitation & joyful manifestation.

Three (not musketeers :-)) Cultivators of Joy from Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network of Halton Volunteers formed a team and had a blast of Joyous Togetherness with the Little Angels (aka students!)
The three musketeers – I stand corrected: Cultivators of Joy – that were “on duty” /peaceful mission on May 5 to bring the 100 Seeds of Joy wellness session to this school, were the following: Marina (also a mental health professional), Ioana and Shivangna who coordinated the entire session.
In fact, we already offered a session of meditation and joyous yoga movements to the first wave of children and they felt energized but calm; they enjoyed very much spending this meaningful relaxing time with our team.
While they were asking questions about the yoga diagram and giving us sweet compliments about the paintings that were part of our meditation setu-up, another wave of little angels entered the room and joined us.
Therefore we ended up Meditating twice with most of the children and at least one with the others and they all loved their Inner Peace state. How do we Know that?
The kids were grade 2 and 3 therefore this time we could not collect their feedback in writing, plus we ended up being busier than expected and offering two sessions in the time dedicated to only one. The more the merrier!
However , there was a moment, after our second meditation, when everyone was silent and content, when the students were asked plainly: ” Now, would you like to do other activities or stay still for longer??”
What do you think was everyone’s answer?
They all wanted to remain still for longer.
That was the greatest compliment for our team – received on such a special day, as we came to the school right after the Proclamation of “May 5, 2025 – Sahaja Yoga Meditation Day” and Flag Raising Ceremony with the Mayor of Burlington and representative of the Government of Canada, City Councillor, Halton volunteers and family members, and even representatives of the local business.
It was an amazing day in which we honored our dedication to volunteering for holistic wellness and self-realization workshops made available to all; it was wonderful to see our 21 years of volunteering here in Halton being recognized collectively with respect and joy. We also had the chance to “do what we do” that day: sharing Sahaja Yoga meditation.

You might wonder now Where is the Recommendation Letter received from the Second Halton School?! Don’t worry, it was not forgotten and you will Enjoy it below along a story and more photos!
Right after Mother’s Day weekend we were invited to another school in Halton to offer a meditation workshop for a mixed group of about 35 students (the vast majority in grade 2 and 3, but a few older students joined the session too).
It was the Monday of May 11th, 2026 and we were told that it just started the National Family and Life Week – it was a beautiful sunny day and this Catholic school had a beautiful garden, we noticed that flowers have been offered in front of Mother Mary’s statue. It seems that again, our team of volunteers (Ioana and Vrinda) was under the wings of Serendipity.

Can you see on the Sky the White Dove heading towards the Earth? I took that photo on my way to school after passing by the “Trinity United Church” with a White Dove — I loved taking its photo too, then I observed its cloud replica above! Nice.
The group of kids joined the class just before their lunch time and we had to take a bit of time to let go of their steam with some simple yoga poses, then we guided them towards a peaceful place inside.
There were boys and girls of various ages that paid attention and did all the movement attentively and correctly!
Some did yoga before but it seems that the guided meditation was a “new thing” for all of them!
After Mother’s Day weekend it was a perfect activity to start the week being grateful also for Mother Earth, taking some time to pay attention to our body, mind and spirit- fortify them with beautiful moments when we de-stress and feel the Present.

When we take a moment to Meditate and Connect our Innocence and Inner child awaken too
That was was definitely under the auspices of Kindness and Serenity. As I was introduced to the fundamentals and practice of yoga and meditation in my formative student years, I know how helpful these are in our daily life. Even more, they open our eyes to see beauty and connectiveness all around, in people as well in nature.
When I notice ‘something’ that touches my heart, opens my mind or send me a message: I take a photo.
Just before entering the school for the Meditation Session, I could see the ‘Ganesha’ ancient symbol of the eternal child like a drawing made of clouds, can You see it? Take it as a challenge to look more up to the open sky, as well within. 🙂

We are grateful for such opportunities to contribute in planting meaningful seeds with the students of Halton. Because our uniquely tailored meditation & gentle yoga workshops were highly recommended by experienced child and youth counsellors these schools reached out to our 100 Seeds of Joy team and the students were able to enjoy our wellness workshops.
Thank you Jennifer, Melissa and Feli for inviting us to your beautiful schools, for a great collaboration and for your Appreciation & Recommendation Letters! We are looking forward to our next opportunities to work together.
