Leaders that Serve our Community Experienced the Benefits of Meditation at the Annual Halton Non-Profit Congress

Imagine that “100 Seeds of Joy were shared” at the Halton Congress 2025 via Meditation 🙂

Let us Start from the Beginning as we have Experiences to Share and Appreciations to Give!

We were greatly honored to be invited to participate to the Halton Non-profit Congress 2025 that was held in Burlington this year, exactly in the large room of the Burlington Seniors’ Center where we offered in 2016 the FREE “RAIN to Heal M.E. – Mother Earth” public programs dedicated to the overall wellness as well for the environment’s protection.

It was an unique initiative born in Burlington that became so successful in the Halton region that we received invitations to make a “tour” and bring it to other cities across Ontario.

We might re-ignite it next year if we find other passionate and youth-oriented community partners.

Our Sahaja Yoga Meditation team of Halton volunteers held a few free public events offering meditation, cultural and interactive activities for youth and adults focused as well on planet Earth, with more than 100 participants (of various ages) from across Halton and beyond.

We also had our Burlington Youth Global Leader 2016 (volunteering with Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network of volunteers) being celebrated and receiving Congratulations from both the City Councillor as well from the Government, from MP of Burlington, Karina Gould.

Let us share below snippets from the local Burlington news of those times (March and April 2016)

Some memory lanes are worth exploring as they are truly beautiful and store collective memories as well! Two significant milestones come to mind: RAIN to HEAL ME (and Mother Earth) Public Program was a great success and the VOLUNTEERS from Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation were SNAP’ed both in March and April (Burlington’s Magazine) – free-meditation.ca and Is Meditation for YOUTH?! Let’s Find out from the Burlington’s Global Teen Leader 2016!

In 2023 we discovered beautiful community leaders at CDH that are genuinely embarked on a journey of Serving and Connecting Halton Community members and we are Honored to join them!

In 2024 we received the Halton Volunteer Impact Award for Burlington and we had the Joy of welcoming many Halton Community partners to our 9th annual Free Festival of Inner Lights

Who are the Cultivators of Joy and Where are they coming from, You might wonder 🙂

We started the 100 Seeds of Joy community initiative as a way to honor our teacher’s 100th birthday anniversary as well Burlington City’s 150th anniversary.

Even though we launched it on March 21st, 2023 (when we started counting!) and in the presence of the Mayor of Burlington, we ended up offering 400+ free meditation workshops and events with the newly born 100 Seeds of Joy community initiative.

But 2024 was even a richer year in “giving back to the community”, as we were able to surpass year 2023! We had the pleasure to share with the 100+ guests at the Festival of Inner Lights 2024 that our Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network of volunteers offered 485 free wellness workshops and events that year across the Halton region and beyond.

First and foremost we were surprised and greatly honored to receive a wonderful Invitation to join the 3rd Annual Halton Non-Profit Congress in the early days of the New Year 2025!

We must share with you the beautiful invite, especially we were glad to see that the decision for choosing our team to host the Meditation activity at the Congress was based on the direct experience with our 100 Seeds of Joy meditation.

Let’s return to the Present Time and Enjoy the meaningful time spent by our 100 Seeds of Joy team at the Halton Non-Profit Congress 2025

That’s How we had the Joy and Honor to Actively participate in CDH‘s Halton Congress 2025

We are sharing a few photos from our Meditation workshop as well from the education sessions that we attended during the Congress. Very good choices!

Take your time, as we will also share the really great feedback we received in the notes collected from some of the participants that joined our own session (the guided 100 Seeds of Joy meditation).

It was like achieving “Mission Impossible!” as we had allotted relatively a short time to help everyone reach a state of meditation and grounding.

Surprisingly (not for us though :-)), this meditation session really made the positive difference and met the high expectations set for our activity.

We are glad that we were able to contribute even modestly to this memorable event. Thank you!

From the very step we made into the Congress hall, Isabelle and I realized how much care the organizing team put in all their preparations!

For us to see the signs with the invite to the 100 Seeds of Joy meditation (and with our logo) being placed in the center (literally :-)), of every table all around us, made our hearts expand with Joy!

Later on we realized that also on all tables was placed our “The Power Lies within You” flyer with the free meditation classes offered in the Halton region.

All of a sudden we weren’t ‘just a Speaker and her Guest’, instead we felt included and seen.

Thank You Volunteer Halton and CDH! You rock!

The Selected Education Sessions were well tailored and led to meaningful conversation- everyone was taking notes and personally I loved the CONNECT framework that we already live by in our SYMN (100 Seeds of Joy) volunteer activities, as well the survey study led and presented by youth! Great job!

Enjoy the Feedback Notes we collected from some Participants to the Mindful Meditation offered by our 100 Seeds of Joy team from Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network of Halton Volunteers!

“Relaxed”

“Thank you it was very much needed.”

“Very calming and relaxing experience!” Rand Al J.

“Grateful and Release of Pain.”

“All Amazing”.

In the following photo we gathered some of the notes as “physical evidence” 🙂 and keep in mind that they were all first participants, rushing from the Lunch, making a “stop” for our session in their way to the next education sessions, Yet, they took the time to respond. Thank You!

Thankfully, Isabelle (our volunteer from 100 Seeds of Joy) and Steven (from CDH) took some photos from the Meditation session offered at the Congress; Enjoy!

In fact we were able to briefly introduce the participants to the Tree of Life concept – from a wellness based on ancient yoga perspective, as well to do a gentle physical energy flow

It seems that our unique 100 Seeds of Joy meditation workshop that combines various techniques harmoniously, was again, greatly appreciated.

Even though, due to the time limitation, the participants took only “micro-bites” of the usual one. 🙂

Ultimately we guided everyone to their inner peace and self awareness.

We had much fun also during the set-up as we received compliments from those passing by!

We tried to “transmit in real-time” from the Congress, by posting on our Instagram some images from the various sessions we attended and meaningful slides; a few are posted here.

We must mention that we sat at a table with other wonderful representatives from this great community of organizations that want to serve our community.

We engaged with each other and had the opportunity to discover more in depth what we all do in our own way; from a personal perspective, I have to say that I am grateful for what I learned from each and everyone!

On the fun side, it seems that our table was the (only?) one with 2 Door Prize winners!

Some photos to show the basket with goodies (a book too!) that Ioana won.

Truth be told, she made sure to bring it next day to the Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Seminar and share it with her 100 Seeds of Joy team! Yes, this is a fact and we have evidence for that too!

It’s time to say Good Bye, we tried to share some moments with You All and we hope we felt like you were there with us at the Annual Halton Non-Profit Congress 2025

Some last impressions from the 9 hours we spent together, meeting wonderful people that engaged and meaningful conversations around important topics that can help us all to serve better our Halton community as well connect to each other in a more collaborative and efficient way, while we always put our community’s best interests first!

Another Thank You Note to the Congress team that organized everything for including also Information about our upcoming Festival of Inner Lights & Her Sixteen E.M.Powers 2025 Workshops – 100 Seeds Of Joy in Burlington!

In fact, we almost forget to mention another heart-warming moment. Just at the beginning of the event, we noticed when looking at the screen showing the on-going presentation, there was the slide about our upcoming 10th Annual Free Festival of Inner Lights and Her 16 E.M.Powers series that our team is proud of, as it aligns with the United Nations’ “Unite” initiative, in a very meaningful, effective and unique way.

It meant the world for us to have this tactful support from the event organizers and to know that all participants will get a chance to know about the free festival and hopefully Join us on Nov 25

Stay tuned, we intend to upload tonight also two videoclips from the Congress!

Until then feel free to drop a comment by the end of this article, and book in your calendars the Festival of Inner Lights!

It is a joy to witness the growth of Sahaja Yoga’s spiritual awareness. An inspiring realization. Kudos to the Burlington team.

  2. Kriti

This is absolutely brilliant! The testimonials speak for themselves…every single person who experiences the Sahaja way of meditation is blessed by the Primordial Energy HERSELF!

  3. Kathleen

What an honor! To be invited to hold a session and the 100seedsofjoy signs at each table says a lot about the trust that the organizers have for SYMN. Shout out to Halton Non-profit Congress for coming up with important programs that help ties up the community together.

So proud of Halton community and leaders to promote and encourage the beautiful Sahaja Yoga meditation sessions. Spending hours on the phone and scrolling through contents to get mental satisfaction is not going to help us. Instead we can follow our own vibrations to improve our lives once we get our self-realization. What a gift we have inside us! Spread the word, join free classes.

I am simply elated to read the efforts made to incorporate 100 seeds of Joy efforts into this community initiative! What a well needed resource by valiant and esteemed volunteer leaders to make Burlington and Halton region a model of community success stories that can spread to our neighbourhoods, and ultimately, other places too. Such care taken to share a beautiful meditation that literally serves to connect us all on a “cellular” level and promote wellness through an elevated oneness. I was melting from this unique and altruistic event and all the wonderful participants willing to help Burlington become an ideal place. It is not a superficial bandaid approach. It is a heal and nourish the roots so we can all grow together and thrive effort through a meaningful meditation by 100 Seeds of Joy and so many others participating. Everyone can understand how connections made on that higher plane more fully, after just a few minutes of guided meditation, are infinitely more powerful and beautifully heart and mind opening. So powerful & awe inspiring! The volunteers from 100 Seeds of Joy, once again, delivered a unique and inspiring meditation through thoughtless awareness in a unique circumstance highlighting community betterment. Bravo to the team Ioana and Isabelle, and others who managed to capture these special moments in photos. It made my heart smile to see everyone gathered together and with understanding and open organizers projecting our upcoming free concerts and and online Her 16 E.M. Powers to answer the call from the United Nations to end violence against women. Everyone is invited to the joyful and partially music filled and heart opening event. See you there!

Sometimes developing and incorporating simple good habits in lifestyle has such a HUGE return on overall wellbeing. The benefits of this meditation has brought me such mental clarity, emotional strength and improvement in my physical health. The team here is dynamic and is offering this meditation program in many different formats -online and in person and in different halton regions! Choose the one that works for you! It is easy to follow yet effective to the core. One of the moms my girls are friends with was struggling with brain fog and I recommended the weekly classes to her. She started attending them and wrote to me last week how much it is helping her and that she is enjoying the classes very much. There are so many similar testimonials of paritcipaints finding inner strength and self love that ultimately converts into compassion to share with people they live and work with!

Congratulations! Your work in the benefit of the community is extraordinary and you bring true value to the society! Our world needs more generous people like you, people dedicated the common good!

  8. Isabelle

During the first presentation the speaker suggested ways for the community to work together. All the suggestions he made, 100 Seeds of Joy is already incorporating it. Ioana during the presentation leaned over to me and said we do that, we do that. There was some great networking there and it is so heartwarming to see the volunteers of Burlington working together to make Burlington an even better place to live. I lived in many cities, Burlington is my favourite. Burlington rocks!

  9. Cristina

It is impressive and encouraging to see how a community understands the role of spiritual evolution and welcomes the Sahaja Yoga community so warmly! The “Joy Cultivators” are an example for the whole world, which awaits this type of simple, deep and spontaneous inner transformation!

  10. Niti
