Let’s enjoy the Beautiful Feedback shared by Burlington and Halton Officials about Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Day’s Celebration on March 18, 2023 at Art Gallery of Burlington
As you all know we celebrated on Saturday, March 18, 2023 “Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Day'” at the Art Gallery of Burlington with The Festival of New Beginnings.
We had the honor of having the Mayor of Burlington attending our special Celebration of Shri Mataji’s 100 Birthday; the Mayor really connected to it by participating to most of the items on this event’s agenda.
One of our young volunteers who is on FB (I am not :-)) informed us today (Sunday March 19) about the beautiful feedback posted by the Mayor of Burlington regarding her experience at our Public Event dedicated to Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Day’s Celebration in Burlington with The Festival of New Beginnings on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Here there is for you to enjoy!

“Spent a beautiful and moving afternoon of dance, song, poem and art from many cultures, celebrating the Festival of New Beginnings.
Sponsored by the Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network in Burlington, the event honours the 100 year celebration of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Day, founder of Sahaja Yoga.
The event also marked the launch of 100SeedsOfJoy.com in Burlington, with the goal of hosting 100 free mental health workshops / events in 2023 as a gift for Burlington’s 150 years of existence
This initiative is a testament to the contributions immigrants make to their new beautiful home in Canada [ a new immigrant family from Romania started sharing Sahaja Yoga Meditation classes and events here in Burlington 18 years ago].
All the key performers and organizers of this event and #100SeedsOfJoy initiative are women of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, that are inspired by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi’s life and teachings
Great to see so many people out including my colleague Councillor Paul Sharman, Sanjeev Saklani, Head of Chancery at the Consulate General of India, and visitors from Montreal bringing songs from Ukraine and Turkey.
Thanks to Ioana Popa and all the volunteers who put this together!!

Feedback from Councillor for Ward 5, City of Burlington and Region of Halton
Also it was such a joy to recognize in the audience the presence of the Councillor for Ward 5, City of Burlington and Region of Halton with whom we already had the pleasure to discuss our 100seedsofjoy.com project in the recent past. We took his advice to heart and we are looking forward to continue advancing in implementing our projects for 2023 with some wise support and direction. Enjoy below the text and screenshot of Councillor’s feedback:
