My experience at the Afro-Caribbean Waterfront Fete

Let’s Listen to Kriti’s experience at the 4th annual CRAFT Afro-Caribbean Fete and More

First you will get to listen to Kriti’s Experience, followed by More Stories, Photos and Videos

It was one of those mornings where everything felt in harmony.

The sun glowed gently over Lake Ontario, a soft breeze moved through the trees, and the air carried the laughter and chatter of people gathering for the Afro-Caribbean Waterfront Fete at Bronte Heritage Park.

The scene itself was a meditation: vibrant, alive, yet deeply peaceful.

Placing us in time and space: We were part of the 4h Annual CRAFT Live Afro Caribbean Canadian Waterfront Fete as a Great Collaboration between Two Halton Community Partners

We set up our 100 Seeds of Joy (Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network) tent, and almost instantly,

the universe gave us a sign: a child, no older than eleven, stepped inside and sat down for meditation.

Innocence walked in first, as if to remind us that the Journey of Self-Realization belongs to every soul, regardless of age.

In the Photo above we have Isabel (Croatian origin), Halyna (Ukrainian origin), Rachelle (Haiti origin) and Robin (deeper Canadian roots) – volunteers with Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation

(optional to explore later) This became my sanctuary. Halyna talks about Sahaja Yoga Meditation in her Life

Are you still with Kriti’s Story?! You will BE there with us as you absorb her words

As the hours unfolded, the tent welcomed a stream of seekers – families, elders, young professionals, curious wanderers.

Every face told a different story, yet all stories seemed to dissolve into the same silence once the meditations began.

Each guided session became like a chapter in an unwritten book, carrying us deeper into self-awareness, into stillness, into the embrace of Mother Nature, herself.

The Powerful Surge of Vibrations is Described in Kriti’s Experience at CRAFT Fete

At one point, while I sat in quiet meditation, a sudden surge of vibrations moved through me: powerful yet soothing, like an inner alarm awakening me from a deep sleep.

Later, when another participant described feeling the very same waves of energy, the synchronicity felt almost miraculous. It was as if we were connected not just through words or presence, but through the very currents of the universe.

Rachelle’s voice filled the park with an energy that was both celestial and grounding.

And then came the music.

The voice of Rachelle Jeanty filled the park with an energy that was both celestial and grounding.

Her songs were not just performed, they were lived, each note inviting us to sing, sway, and open ourselves further.

She was every bit a spiritual rockstar, and the festival itself seemed to lift into a higher vibration with her music.

Must listen to Amazing Grace clip below and why not, sing along with Rachelle her own song: “I am worthy – I am Free” which became a hit at the Afro-Caribbean Fete 2025

Being in the Nature with Music in the air and filled with Positivity after many Earth meditation workshops with great Seekers we met at the CRAFTS Fete, our Cultivators of Joy team manifested outwardly their Inner Child in a spontaneous “Team activity” of Dancing in the plaza

Enjoy the following two video-clips, please don’t judge we did not plan for any of it.

We blame the Inner Child within us that wanted to dance with other friendly Kids 🙂

Again, don’t judge and allow your inner child to join on spontaneous “Kundalini Dancing” moves

This conversation is quite “moving”, eh?

How Connected are we?! Let us share with you a beautiful Dream shared by Dewduni who lives in Milton and joins our Sahaja Yoga meditation Classes in Burlington. She did Not come to the Fete!

We were very busy at the Bronte Festival until about 9:45 in the night!

Because so many people were interested in trying our 100 Seeds of Joy meditation workshops; they confessed that they simply felt like being drawn to our tent for no “particular reason”. We were not selling anything and we were not even prepared to have lights for our booth in the night, otherwise we could have stayed even longer because we loved the festival’s music and everything it had to offer (kudos to the organizer); Plus, all people that came to meditate and have an energy workshop received a Seed of Joy and we felt it too!

The Dream with Shri Mataji and Ioana that Dewduni recognized it as symbolic – Connected!

Only close to midnight I had a chance to check some of my messages and Dewduni’s made me laugh with joy because it was an irrefutable proof of our subtle connection with each other as practitioners of sahaja yoga meditation, we feel and know each other as we often meditate collectively and our attention is enlightened so we “get the right message” about each other.

Note: Shri Mataji is the founder of sahaja yoga meditation; no longer among us physically but she remains the inspiring force in doing good and cultivate joy in our community, thus honoring Shri Mataji’s legacy by keeping our inner light lit up. 🙂

You can read below some excerpts from Dewduni’s message

“Ioana, I saw you and Shri Mataji in my dreams yesterday.

I remembered Shri Mataji looking at me sitting down on a chair, you were around and happy.

But nobody talked. Very symbolic.”

Just to recap: Dewduni had this dream the night before our festival; she could not join the festival and could not know how I felt, yet in her dream she was informed precisely that the day will be blessed and I will receive it as such.

Indeed, the entire day I felt that the Positivity built up from our amazing team of volunteers was transmitted around, as well we were receivers of Positivity.

All day long I experienced a silent deep meditative state within, but also there was a palpable bubbly joy of gratefulness and wonder, because Mother Nature was so nurturing and we were surrounded by beautiful loving people; the music was great, not too loud and very enjoyable, the rhythms carried around all these positive vibes.

The roses are from my garden and photographed this weekend spreading Love

Let’s take a break from all the dancing and dreaming and Return to Kriti’s Beautiful Experience

There is something extraordinary about meditating outdoors, surrounded by strangers who slowly stop being strangers.

Collective meditation is like opening a thousand windows to the cosmos at once.

The coolness feels like petals opening inside our minds, the subtle channels within us clear, the heart expands, and we become receivers of something vast, tender, and divine.

This Saturday by the water, between the trees and the music, in the laughter of children and the stillness of seekers, we were more than just participants at a cultural festival.

We were part of a shared awakening in becoming simple, innocent, pure – in becoming Sahaj ❤️

Thank you Kriti for sharing with us your Beautiful Experience of this Sahaj Shared Awakening. In fact the video-clips posted below are supporting it!

Mother Nature was the greatest Supporter of Bronte’s Afro-Caribbean Waterfront Fete!

We were pampered with colours and breeze, water and sun, it felt like the Creator was acting through a team of art oriented angels getting busy not only with the landscaping but also with the skyscaping and waterscaping all arounds us.

This was such a perfect day, a gift through and through all day long, we would see a white cloud resembling the head of a white elephant. The evening entered this kind of “best Nature Designer competition” and brought shapes that we could not not associate with the Serpent-like symbol for the kundalini energy or with the subtle DNA chain of our energy tree; as we literally study and teach about it at our free sahaja yoga meditation classes;

While we tried on Saturday to Cultivate 100 Seeds of Joy during the Afro-Caribbean Waterfront Fete we definitely received at least 108 seeds of Joy from Mother Earth that encompassed all its realms from beneath and from above, as well from her beautiful Earthlings that we met and befriended on that day at the festival.

We came with open hearts and they brought their open hands to meditate with them and check with them the energy within our own tree of life, then have them beautifully decorated by our talented henna painting artists.

We say Farewell! Stay tuned as we are heading to 4 more festivals in September and all across our beloved Halton region! Look out for our 100 Seeds of Joy tent and join us for a FREE guided Earth meditation and more!

Received from Kenya – it seems this article was shared across several African countries and we received this beautiful and completely unexpected feedback and support from G.J. 🙂 :

“Hello Ioana, congratulations to your collective storytelling skills and the spiritual beauty offered in this link.
I am scrolling on a “normal” phone and I am utterly stunned by the ingeniously crafted sequence of images and stories, expressing the interwoven beauty and joy of spirit and nature.
I scrolled all the way to the end.

It is one symphony of loving vibrations.

This is not a friendly sympathetic praise — I am allowed to say this as someone with an idea of composing text and combining images. words and feelings.

You are truly divine word artists! Shri Saraswati and Shri Shiva as Kavi. the poet, must be blessing you all along. “

I am in bliss and covered in positivity from all these beautiful moments in Bronte with the 100 Seeds of Joy team joining in with the festivities. Each of your efforts to make the this community aware of this palpable joy available through Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network is nothing less than admirable. Bravo to everyone and thank you Rachelle Jeanty for gracing the festival with your glorious talent and superpowers to unite all of us on a higher level.

It was a beautiful day spent with Sahaja Yogis and seeks of different towns. Rachelle sang at the shore of Lake Ontario, which was truly amazing. Her voice opened many hearts. We sang, laughed, danced, and gave realizations and before we know it, the day was already over. Looking forward to the next event.

  5. Aarti

I felt an incredible experience of peace and joy. The atmosphere by the lake was vibrant yet calming, and stepping into the Sahaja Yoga tent gave me a chance to truly connect with myself through meditation. Seeing people of all ages sharing the same uplifting experience was inspiring. The music, especially Rachelle Jeanty’s soulful singing, added a beautiful spiritual depth that stayed with me long after. Surrounded by nature and positive energy, I left feeling lighter, more connected, and deeply grateful for the experience.

  7. Jolanta

So happy I was able to join this amazing event, the culture and amazing vibrations in nature. Thank you Halton team!

    Received from S.N. Oakville:

On Saturday, I had a full day—returning from camping up north, then driving to Paris, Ontario to return my friend’s car. After all that, I was due to join the Caribbean Festival to meditate with my collective yogis.

And I’m so happy I made it there!
The experience truly uplifted my spirit. The energy around our Sahaja tent was so positive, high, and full of warmth. Most of all, I felt deeply loved.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your beautiful vibrations with me.

I absolutely love Kriti’s written description of the day. Beautiful day, beautiful writing, beautiful spirits.
I was able to attend this event in the evening and this article is such a wonderful representation of the event, and especially of the parts that I missed. I love the pictures and the music, especially Rachelle Jeanty’s ‘repeat-after-me’ song “I am worth- I am free”. In this article, I loved seeing the dancing, and especially the little video capturing Ioana and Kathleen tickled me with my joy and love for them = )
Thank you for the meditation while I was there, and thank you for the henna art on my arm, Kathleen. I’m receiving many compliments! Kudos to all that helped with the set up of the tent and area, it looked and felt great- inviting and joyful!

    1. Kriti

True Kayla! Rachelle’s sing-along song had such strong vibrations – it was magical and so uplifting. And the meditation sessions felt so tranquil and powerful. The lake, the sky, the trees all seemed so aligned to our energy – an unbelievable yet such a Sahaja experience.
