Today is about our Women too

Today is March 8 the International Women’s Day and we are celebrating our Women too 🙂

For our volunteers the whole last week was about our Women – we call them Shaktis, meaning Powers in the Sanksrit language – as they were busy Cultivating Joy in our Communities

You might have guessed, this article is taking advantage of March 8, known as the International Women’s Day, to share with you some of the women-gems that we have in our Cultivators of Joy team from Halton’s Sahaja Yoga Yoga Meditation Network (SYMN).

We realized just a few days earlier, that beside their active participation in community’s life in offering wellness, cultural and art oriented programs, always free of charge – they also made it in the Burlington news, this year too.

It seems just natural to make it on the front page (Paula and Gratiela from SYMN), if you’re looking at their photos, so unassumingly lovely beaming their inner qualities.

Group photo after last Sunday’s public event celebrated in the heart of Oakville community, event dedicated to the Martisor – the Romanian Spring Festival.

Our Shaktis – Cultivators of Joy offered only last week, 6 days of 7, free meditation and wellness workshops or events all across Halton region!

We’ve been invited to church to offer for a group of women’s meeting a special meditation class that featured also classical Indian flute music. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, both from those that meditated before or tried it first time.

We’ve been offering workshops to private groups, as well public events in Burlington and Oakville, sometimes acting as volunteers ambassadors of various beautiful cultures and traditions from other parts of the world.

What’s Next? Let’s Honour the Shakti-Power that exists in All Women

Other SYMN FREE events we offered this year in the Halton region, including the Makar Sankranti Festival in January, as well the February Events dedicated to our Yoga Teacher’s Remembrance Day – herself a Mother and Spiritual leader – titled “Experience Pure Love with Shri Mataji“, were mentioned in the Local News. We are grateful and are sharing below a few screenshots form media postings.

Let’s Realize and Recognize our Feminine Power and its qualities residing within all human beings.

How? During a Special Sahaja Yoga Meditation Public Seminar dedicated to the Divine Feminine in which we learn and even experience the Shakti (Power in Sanskrit language) – the subtle energy that unconsciously was associated with various female personalities or representations, and was even expressed in millennia-old traditions.

We are glad to see that our Sahaja Yoga Meditation Public Program honouring the International Women’s Day with a seminar offered for free in the Burlington community was announced in the local media (screenshots are provided below).

Happy international Women’s Day to all the wonderful women I know, (and the ones I have yet to know),that contribute to our communities local and global. We are shakti-power. Sisters, mothers, daughters, friends, mentors and students. This is such a beautiful article of enlightened beings spreading light, positivity and goodness. 100 seeds of joy and this Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network is what makes me love and hope and thrive. Our health can blossom and the lenses through which we see the world can be polished to see and to feel and grow along the path of inner balance.
