A Creative Family Valentine’s Day Event was offered by Burlington’s Cultivators of Joy

We gathered some snippets from the Free Valentine’s Day event offered on Sunday by Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network of Volunteers
We gathered together in this article some snippets from the Free Valentine’s Day event offered on Sunday, Feb 9th, 2025 in Burlington by SYMN – Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network of Volunteers.
It was another cold and snowy day, however, enough warm hearts ventured to participate in this community event, meant to bring inner peace and (re)-ignite the pure love that should bind people together.
Last year the weather was warmer and we had a full room of Seekers eager to meditate, learn and create.
On Sunday we meditated together and learned (also) about the Heart Energy Center
We hope you will enjoy this short article offering a collection of photos and Feedback

These images are showing what is Mother Nature offering these days here in Burlington.
Our SYMN team had a strong start this year, with many (free) events offered across the Halton community for anyone interested in meditation, yoga, mental health and wellness in general; winter time is a a difficult one especially for those that either are or feel more isolated.
For this reason, our team makes all efforts to provide such events, because we know for a fact how helpful they are and how much people need them. Who doesn’t need some Love, Peace and Joy in their life?!

We have some photos with those that were brave enough this Sunday to face both the cold weather and our photographers 🙂

Of course, our Potluck was lovely, we actually had several families joining including 1st timers
We watched a presentation that explained how our subtle energy centers (known as chakras) are mapped through the nervous system to our physical being, enabling to transmit messages that inform us about our health status at all various levels: mental, emotional, physical and even spiritual.
Mostly, we focused on the heart energy centre, giving the example of the little fingers (“pinkies”) that might inform how our heart is doing, how is our relationship to our mother, father, also how is our lungs doing and the importance of this energy center for the overall immune system.
After a deep and calming meditation, in which we indeed, provided support to various energy centers related to our family relationships, we had the new participants confessing that to their surprise they felt sensations in those centers, the pinkies included, and how by the end, after a gentle chakra workshop there was clear coolness and the thoughtless awareness was reached.

Let’s share some Notes from our Feedback Notebook 🙂
This was very lovely!
I feel so calm after the meditation.
Always warm and welcoming.
I learn something about myself every time and it’s very nice to connect with others.
Joy to come to the class. Love!
It was a really wonderful experience and will definitely continue joining in the classes. Thank you.

Did You Know this about the Pink Color?
“You know, the pink colour suggests the Love, the warmth.”
“Pink is the sign of Love. So such a person has to have tremendous love and that softness of the lotus.”
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation
This is what I felt: “tremendous love and that softness of a pink lotus” when reading today the following poem, shared by Michael, a published poet from Vienna, Austria, who happens to also incorporate Sahaja Yoga Meditation in his life.
Loving Connections to Austria through Remembrance Notes and a Love Poem
This past weekend was special, not only because we offered this Valentine’s Event in our community with a focus on pure love and relationships; but also because we received news of a gentle giant’s Austrian soul that departed towards a higher realm.
Wolfgang‘s life was all about pure love, unity, caring for the world’s wellbeing while he was blessed with international recognition and meaningful world-wide connections; as he touched so many lives, he is dearly remembered.
Michael shared his poem with those of us that knew Wolfgang, a beloved yogi with PHD in psychology, who built a beautiful family with his wife and children, as well a long and demanding career as a corporate trainer for top executives, yet also teaching in Universities; who lived life fully – whether through sports, artistic projects, nature, spiritual celebrations, or music.
Michael’s Poem dedicated to his Yogi brother, Wolfgang – who Loved Life, Humanity and Lived Generously
Without eternity
No sisterhood and no fraternity
Without eternity
I cannot be
Without sense and truthful unity
In duality the miracle enacts
By boundaries of the form
The spirit resurrects
And once this temple is fulfilled
By eternal waters flow
Infinite love is never killed
Your hearts’ cool breeze will ever blow

Wolfgang is shown in these photos; he had tremendous love and respect for his spiritual teacher, the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation – Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – whom he is crediting for saving and transforming his life.
Let’s enjoy Wolfgang’s Homecoming Story as a Seeker of Truth

A Heart Opening Story: Wolfgang’s recollection of the Moment that Changed his Life
As Wolfgang described his moments when he met his spiritual teacher:
‘If I hadn’t come to Sahaja Yoga, I would be dead since long. I am so thankful. There was a public program in Vienna, and at that time I was working in the fashion industry, and some photographer told me about an Indian lady. She would be here and I wasn’t really interested. Then I had a job with him and he told me, now this Indian lady, she’s here for the last day, and okay, I went down a few steps and there was a wardrobe [it was a kind of a Theatre]. There were many people.
And there was also one Indian lady, and She looked at me for a split of a second. And that moment changed me.
That moment changed my life. I was Homecoming.
I did not know that this is Shri Mataji because I did not know what to expect. She looked at me.
And the days after i was walking through Vienna, like on clouds. And my life started changing right from there.”
Note: both Shri Mataji and Wolfgang left their material existence on a February Day.

I felt to interwoven Wolfgang’s stories and photos in our sharing about a Family Valentine’s Day event as a token of pure love; home coming is always interwoven with home leaving and there is a certain beauty in both, that transcends our joys and sorrows.
For the readers of our blog that never came to Burlington, we’re sharing the video-clip below, but make sure you’ll watch our other videoclips that show the amazing beauty we enjoy during the other seasons too.
Another exceptional experience, also sprouted from a glance to the same spiritual teacher, was shared by Lavinia.

It was a welcoming vibe and much was enjoyed from meditation to creating mobiles and choosing profound quotes to adorn them. Loved all the details in this article and I can certainly relate to that life changing feeling.
Love was the theme of this event and it was very much felt in the room. The pink flowers, deep meditation, interesting presentation, food, activities, all of these were helpful in getting rid of any negative sentiments. Through these events we learn so much and feel the joy and peace within as we imbibe pure knowledge. Yes we all had to shovel big pile of snow to get to the event, but getting out of the house was the only difficult part for me mentally, the rest was fun. I am glad I went with my son and he also enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to the next one.
beautiful. loved all the details and the warmth . a bouquet of pink flowers! 🙂
So much to read, to see. Such joy, thanks so much.
Wonderful, wonderful!!!
Thank you, that’s a beautifun and enriching article.
