Let’s Relive The Morning when Burlington Celebrated the Yoga Day by the Lake with Live Bamboo Flute Music, Guided Earth Meditation and a Gentle Yoga Flow
It was moving to see how the Burlington Community answered the Call to Unite on an Early Morning for a “Wellness Packed” Free Public Program offered by our Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network of volunteers

We were also honored to have the Member of Parliament Natalie Pierre joining the entire event and offering a lovely speech (and a scroll for our team‘s 20th anniversary in Burlington) after experiencing the Guided Meditation with the Self-Realization exercise

This “New Beginnings” Event offered outdoors was the Fruit of a great collaboration with our Burlington community partners and it felt Blessed from the Very Beginning by Mother Nature
You could find our team in the Spencer Smith Park by the Lakeshore around 7am that morning, ready for bringing alive the setup and welcoming the Seekers of Wellbeing together with the Sunrays that were joyfully caressing Burlington’s gentle shore of Lake Ontario.
We welcomed also the Burlington Today’s reporter who had a long day ahead as on June 21st it was not only the International Yoga Day being celebrated but also coincided with the National Indigenous Peoples Day being celebrated in the Park that day.
However, our event was the 1st one that day so most of the beautiful photos we’re sharing are courtesy of Peter’s talented and loving eye capturing them for his article that appeared in the Burlington News featuring our 20th anniversary of Sahaja Yoga Meditation in Burlington as well the way we honored it on the International Yoga Day’s bright morning.
See the little heart of Light connecting Mother Earth and Father Sky?! That’s our own minuscule photo-tribute to the Indigenous Peoples, before proceeding with this meaningful event on the 2nd day of our 5-day New Beginnings Marathon of Free Wellness, Art and Culture events offered by our 100 Seeds of Joy volunteers from Halton’s Sahaja Yoga Meditation Network.

More Images from that event that Welcomed Everyone and Yes, we will do it Again next year because Everyone Loved our Event and Asked for an Encore!
One can feel the Blanket of Serenity lovingly embracing the Burlington Pier that morning
In fact, right above our heads, it formed a Lotus-shaped cloud formation during the Gentle Yoga Exercise – it was quite amazing! Once we took the photo, other people started noticing it too!

As we celebrated with the Burlington Community our 20th anniversary with Sahaja Yoga Meditation, we also took the time to recollect memories of growth and be grateful for Today’s beautiful Collective of Sahaja Yogis and Our Motherly Teacher’s Love that unites us and guides us towards Cultivating Joy all around us
Forever Grateful to Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation

With the double occasion of: International Yoga Day and Sahaja Yoga Meditation Day, we were inspired to Cultivate the Joy of pure knowledge about yoga, meditation, and wellness in general – in our communities. The articles shared above must be explored 🙂 for one’s own multiple benefits. In fact, there are a few more articles on the pipe, awaiting to share the other aspects of the marathon that took us to unusual places where we met wonderful people and we provided also amazing music because we had wonderful musicians that joined our marathon’s efforts and we were blessed with many highlighted moments! Before we say Farewell, we share with you a few more glimpses from that wonderful morning

After this morning event we prepared to go and offer a Free Public Program of “New Beginnings for Yoga Day Celebrations” in the evening of the same day at the Radha Krishna Temple in Hamilton. The Sky talked to us, with a Shri Garuda Eagle – the vehicle of Lord Krishna – shaped through the clouds above. Blessed!

Drop a comment; it would be nice to know if you’ve enjoyed the way we celebrated the International Yoga Day in Burlington,
This magnificent article about events hosted by 100 seeds of Joy is one of my all time favourite, most heart widening events in Beautiful Burlington. I cannot contain the joy I feel revisiting this day that no one wanted to end. Friends commented on the vast reach and high level of organization to incorporate all the details from a gentle, accessible style of physical yoga, the knowledge and care of Ana Bianca, the beautiful song by Ekatarina of Montreal, Shivangna’s heavenly flute and the glorious weather that aligned us all, incorporating indigenous teachings, honouring Mother Earth and Canada’s precious indigenous , their timeless wisdom. People came from all corners of Burlington but some from Mississauga and Oakville too that were drawn and delighted. No one wanted to leave. They and I wanted to melt with the sacred land and Lake Ontario into bliss. For a long while, these moments reminded us of what is right and good and peaceful in the world. We felt reminded of our shared desire to spread peace, to be peace, to be transmitters of peace from this community to the entire atmosphere. As each thought disappeared, we could feel the return to our true, joyful selves. Full of wonder, inspiration and gratitude.
This was incredible. Loved being able to join.
It was such a beautiful event. Thank you to the entire team of Sahaj Yoga for all your effort and dedication.
Ioana, Very Joyful to read amazing writeup on Grand amazing Sahaj Yog events at Burligton. Blessed Sahaj yog team sincere and dedicated efforts to impart subtle Yogic knowledge of Chakra energy and bring joy and lasting happiness to community is commendable. Just incredible !
It’s uplifting to see how silence, joy and true yoga can be experienced in the community, in the state of detachment from the drama happening in the world. Thank you for sharing your love for humanity!
Thank you for posting some live clips of this event. I’m so happy I was able to join. I love listening to Ekatarina singing “Kundalini” and Shri Mataji’s talk in this article was new to me- so simple and straightforward. I also love the picture of Shri Mataji smiling into the bouquet of flowers. Lots to absorb from this article, as well as the time I spend clicking on some of the other links! It’s a good place to get lost, especially if you’re going to spend some time online!
Dear Ioana, This was truly a blessed day. Reading the article and looking at the pictures I am truly grateful I got to participate. Looking at the photo you took of the lotus flower I noticed on top of the flower is Shri Mataji looking down.
