Let’s start from the Very Beginning!

“They have to cook. And with heart! They should be able to cook and give with love to others.
That’s the minimum of Annapurna [The Goddess of Cooking] ”
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation [ 1988/08/14 Qualities of the Left Nabhi Chakra]

“Such person can create wonderful types of foods and is interested in giving good food to people. And that food has vibrations because it was cooked with that love, and passion, compassion. So that you take that food and you become a very tranquil person. Satisfied. You get with that very much satisfied.”
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation [ 1998-12-14 New Delhi, India ]

“The whole neighborhood will arrive to have that food. Through the medium of cooking and serving good food the women are able to express their love also.”
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation

Feedback from Participants – Letter from Anjali (mother with two girls):
Dear Ioana,
Hinal, Abigail, Sophie and I had a beautiful day at both “100 seeds of joy with Sahaja Yoga Meditation” events on Saturday.
We all were looking forward to the cheesecake making, but what really made it so beautiful was the awareness exercise we did prior to the cheesecake making. I loved how Kathleen took us through the body awareness making us tune into our inner sacred energy. Feeling the energy of our hands, making note of the energy and being connected and one with it through our crown chakra. It certainly recharged me and prepared me to further feel the love that Mama Carmela poured into this recipe and the preparations. I am inspired by this amazing lovely lady in my life who is so open hearted and without any boundaries has accepted me and my children as her very own family. We get spoiled by her cooking and pure love all the time, but at the event, her enthusiasm and energy made everything look so easy.
Thank you Kathleen, Mama Carmela and everyone that helped. All of us got to take home the cheesecake we made and believe me, we all enjoyed so much even the next day having it for dessert. 🙂
Abigail and Sophie have already asked me to buy the ingredients so we can make it together at home again.
Feedback from Karan (12 years old):
As we entered the building, we were greeted by Sahaj aunties. They had already prepared the lovely recipe and setup the tables with colorful decorations. In a next little while, more and more participants arrived. We got into a circle, where we introduced our names and started meditating with aunty Kathleen in a fun way. We learnt about how we can transfer the cool energy into recipes. Once we were feeling cool vibrations, we started to make our cheesecake. The Sahaj aunties made sure everyone understood what to do so that it can turn out as great as possible. Once we were all finished, we got to take home our beautiful creation in a colorful box. Next, we went to the park where the self-realization was happening. Everyone was thrilled to get the henna tattoo and meditation. It was great to see so many people patiently waiting for their turn. This experience really brighten my week-end and would love join again. Thank you. 🙂
Feedback from Kruti (Karan’s mother):
Karan and I were super excited to attend the 2 events that were happening in one day in Burlington. We had no idea what new recipe we were going to learn with Mamma Carmela, so it was a complete surprise for us. We entered into this amazing Hub where all the tables were already setup with ingredients and cutleries. The room was so welcoming. The curiosity was building up and that’s when the team decided to do a little meditation and understand the meaning of “cooking with love”. We were so in-tuned with the meditation and learning about vibrations, no one moved till it was over. Kathleen was just amazing; we all enjoyed the meditation, even the new ones. Our hearts were open and joyful when we started making the dessert, that too without an oven! Just making something so yummy with all the kids and adults in meditative mood was a blissful experience for me. Our nabhis were satisfied with the frozen cake that was premade and we all left with a freshly made cake in a box. A big thank you to Mamma Carmela and the team for organizing such a creative event.
Mama Carmela’s famous recipe!

Final “Cooking with Love” Sahaj Wisdom Quote from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi
“That means the love that is expressed in that food is what we should care for, and not for the lavishness, not for the show of it and not at all for your own taste, but the taste of food should be that it should carry love.. Let your tongue feel the love. That is the best taste, and whatever is cooked with love always tastes very well.
So when you cook, cook with love.
When you eat, eat with love.
With kind words to the person who has cooked with love and above all, count your blessings and think of others who may not have had food today.
This is the Lakshmi Tattwa, is the Nabhi Chakra about which I have told you.
It’s a very important Chakra!”
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation [ 1983-01-31 Nabhi Chakra, Delhi, India]
