Sahaja Yoga Canada sponsors First Canadian Tour of Indian Classical Music Master Pandit Bhaskar Subramanian

“Divine Music for the Spirit”

Pandit Subramanian is renowned all over India for his classical and devotional music.  He has traveled to 15 countries around the world to promote the divine music of India.   Music which appeals to the spirit helps transport the human being to the state of true meditation and brings nourishment to their inner being.  If you enjoy cultural music, come for an evening of first-class Indian classical and devotional music close to you.  During the performance, an experienced instructor will guide the audience through a first experience of Sahaja Yoga Meditation.

ALL CONCERTS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC.

Other than concerts open to the public, Pt. Subramanian will also be giving free Indian music and meditation workshops for the youth during his Canadian tour.

Pt. Subramanian’s music expertise includes Indian classical singing, ragas and harmonium. He also enjoys playing tabla, sitar and other Indian musical instruments.  He was born in a family of great musicians in India. His grandfather Pandit Narayana Bhagavather was a court musician in the palaces of Trivancore and Mysore in Southern India. His brother is one of the greatest violin artists of all times and has performed many times for the leading Indian National Radio station, All India Radio. Pt. Subramanian’s sister is a well-known Sitar player.

Pt. Subramanian, though a born musician, studied music and completed his University Master’s degree in Music from Hyderabad, India. In his music career he was a university lecturer in India for 20 years.  He has performed on a number of music concerts in India on leading Indian TV channels, radio stations, as well as music concerts in many countries around the world.

He joined PK Salve Music Academy, also known as the Vaitarna Fine Arts and Music Academy in India, which was founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi (the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation) to teach music to people from all around the world. Pt. Subramanian is currently working as the Principal of this Academy.
