A beautiful collaboration started in 2008 between Harbourside Organic Farmers Market and Sahaja Yoga Meditation -Halton. Both share same important values: love and respect for Mother Earth, People and Wellness.
Harbourside Organic Farmers Market (OSFP) makes sure that the visitors have a variety of choices in purchasing organic products from local vendors each Saturday during the summer & fall, between 9 Am and 1 PM, same place: Centennial Plaza. As well, OSFP is organizing many interesting community events in this beautiful and important Oakville area.
Last year the fruits of this spontaneous partnership between OSFP and Sahaja Yoga were really very much enjoyed within the Oakville community and the Feedback was great: read here. This year we aim for more and above!
More Music (Bhajans, Qawallis, Tabla Solo and Bija Mantras), Meditation & Chakra Workshop, Massage with Indian oils, Henna painting, Ayurveda Medicine & Healthy Spices and more..
Many talented volunteers from GTA’s Sahaja Yoga Meditation classes will generously share their skills and knowledge.
“Experience India” will present Live Indian Music full of Joy, Rhythm & Spirit with ‘Chello Sahaji” band as well there will be a Tabla Solo performance (a talented boy from Brampton) and even an introductory lesson of Kuchipudi Dance.
From Bhajans to Qawallis and even Sahaja Yoga Mantras it will be a Musical Journey through India’s treasures of culture, wisdom and spirituality.
Many talented young ladies, expert in Henna painting will be ready to welcome you in the Body Art station where the design can be associated with various chakras and Indian traditional representations.
Dr. Nishi Pashnin will talk about Ayurveda Medicine in relation with Sahaja Yoga Meditation and will mention Healthy Spices that are useful in our daily nutrition. Helpful tricks in obtaining positive effects on our energy centers (chakras) during a massage session with Indian oils will be tested for free in the Wellness Tent – Vassili Grigoriev, an experimented massage therapist and sahaja yogi will be coming from Toronto to provide guidance and free workshops.
Don’t miss visiting the Meditation & Chakra Workshop station! Be prepared, many were waiting in queues last year for such experience!
A very joyful “dhandia dance” will happen in the plaza during the festival and towards the end, we’ll bring ourselves to a serene and balanced state with a general meditation and clearing workshop conducted from the stage.
We”ll say Namaste/Farewell and conclude our community event with a wonderful parade around the plaza with people dressed in Indian costumes from all parts of India.
There will be many other surprises so better don’t miss it and spread the word. The more we’ll be, the merrier!
