Searching for Something .. I came to Know Myself as BUDDHA in 2 Poems

Something precious

I am looking for something,

Something that has a taste,

Something that has a value,

I am looking for something,

Something that is colorful,

Something that is beautiful,

I am looking for something,

Something that gives peace,

Something that gives joy,

I am looking for something,

Something that can be obtained easily,

Something that can be achieved effortlessly,

In the end, I have found what I have been searching for,

It was me, real me, the Spirit in me,

I am Shiva, I am Shiva, I am Shiva.

As soon as I came to know My Self

As soon as I came to know myself I found that the left and right side suffering
are only the warning signs that I was living against my own sprit.
Now, I know, this is “Truthfulness”.
As soon as I came to know Myself I found how much it can offend somebody
As I try to force my desires on this person,
even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it,
and even though this person was me.
Now, I know this is “SELF-RESPECT”.
As soon as I came to know Myself I stopped thinking for a different life,
and I found that everything that happened to me was for my growth.
Now, I know this is  “DIVINE UNDERSTANDING”.

As soon as I came to know Myself I found myself,
at the right place at the right time,
Now, I know this is “SELF-SATISFACTION”.
As soon as I came to know Myself I stopped to thinking

For my past and planning for the future
Now I only enjoy my present and do whatever gives me Divine Growth
Now I know this is “THOUGHTLESS AWARENESS”.
As soon as I came to know Myself I freed myself from all conditioning, rituals, traditions and religions which drew me away from my Sprit.
I know this is “DIVINE ATTITUDE”.
As soon as I came to know Myself I figure out that my mind can disturb me
and make me sick.
But As I connected it to my heart, my mind became divine.
Now I know that all these knowing of myself is “SELF REALIZATION”.

Most of the times we are innocently looking for beauty and joy outside .. while the Beauty is already sparkling within us. That’s what I felt reading the above poems and here are shared with you. Also, let’s “remember Buddha” and his connection with the pure Spirit – Shri Shiva, as we have learnt to call it in Sahaja Yoga Meditation. Hope you’ll enjoy the words of wisdom below as well the 3 related articles.

“When all your searches are over – people search in money, in power, in love, and all kinds of things. Ultimately people start searching in various groups, cults, gurus, all kinds of drugs, alcohol, whichever ways are possible they try to search. But when human beings try to search something, then in their movement they either go to the left or to the right. And He (Buddha), being such an ardent seeker, such a truthful seeker, He could see very clearly that this is not the point of going left or right. But there has to be some ascent, but how to achieve it?! Who is going to give him Self-Realisation? All that tiredness he laid down himself under the tree and suddenly He got his realisation. When He got his realisation, He started understanding why these problems of conditioning and ego is there. He found out one thing: that people when they read too much, and try to understand through ritualism, God, then they develop their ego. The other side, He found out, that when people just get some desires, go on praying to God, “Give me this, give me that”, they become mad. And when He realised it, then only at that moment when He was tired, He got his realisation.

This is exactly what is happening today in the modern times. That those who were seekers have been seeking the Divine on the left (past/emotional/desires related energy channel)and right hand side (though actions, thinking, etc).  But His followers who came did not see the point that ultimately it is Self-Realisation is talked about.

So what we have to do is to establish ourselves in Buddha. That is to establish within ourselves in our Spirit. Unless and until we are established in our Spirit, we cannot understand the intricacies of all the ignorance that we have around. So the best way to understand Sahaja Yoga is to establish yourself in the Spirit. But those who are not intelligent, those who are selfish and greedy do not see this point. You have to be identified with your Spirit. Now I would suggest that if you really want to understand Sahaja Yoga, first try to understand yourself.  I can go on talk about Buddha for days together, there is no end to it. He is the one who has taught us so many beautiful things by his own life and if we have to really imbibe his spirit within ourselves, we have to have that detachment, from within.” (excerpts from  various lectures on Buddha & Buddhism offered by Shri Mataji, the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation)

“first, try to understand yourself… and detach from within”…

I find this quote, from Sri Mataji to be very simple and important…

The goal is not to understand others… that is how contradictions and distractions arise… the key is to stay detached or to separate oneself from our own distractions… for we are the ones who create those distractions through our need to obsess about the external world.

      I AM
      reminded…
      That
      SELF RESPECT
      leads to…
      Respect for ALL.

        Then the searching ceases,
        and You are…
        I am.

the poem by Reetesh Gangwar is inspirational his search led him to know that his mind could disturb him and make him sick but when he connected it to his heart, his mind became divine which was self realization on his part.

this touched me deeply because I continue to search and feel connected to divine love but must continue not to stray from my path if I am to be helpful to to others. emotions such as anger and fear prevent me from achieving this state

  6. Rajendra Tosawar

As said, it is to be imbibed to achieve that state.
    Thanks for sharing it.

Do I have respect for myself? … I ask myself two questions…

    Do I lie to myself?
Do I create hatred within myself?

Self is Aware and Knows All!
    Am I listening to myself?

    Know Thy Self

Just like a drop of water dissolves in a ocean and becomes homogeneous, the immortal in me wants to be one with the whole.
The power of desire separates itself from the witnesses to create life and then again sets on journey to meet the witness to completes it’s cycle. After all its just a play for the pleasure of that immortal.
