Unexpected Pandemic Wellbeing Story (2020 Year review from Rebecca)

Unexpected Pandemic Wellbeing Story shared by Rebecca – She started with “Happy Holidays to my wonderful Sahaja Yoga Family

You received a truly positive 2020 Coronavirus Year review. Let’s pay attention! 🙂

Dear Ioana and Sahaja Yoga Family:

I finally sat down to put together something for you – feel free to post. I just said it from the heart.

I personally want to thank you all for your leadership and for everything that you continue to do collectively for all of us that are still new to Sahaja Yoga.

Feb 21, 2020 – Sahaja Yoga Public Program “Experience Pure Love with Shri Mataji” (Oakville, in Halton, ON, Canada) – incredibly successful, room full with people and positive energy, one of the last “in-person” events before everything changed

I couldn’t imagine going through this Covid 19 year without the help of this wonderful Sahaja Yoga family and for everything that you do to keep us on track and always improving.

One of the last “sahaj family photos” with the small team that stayed late to help wrap-up one of our public programs dedicated to the life of Shri Mataji (the founder of Sahaja Yoga)

I wanted also to share a little miracle that I have experienced lately.

I have had an under-active thyroid issue for 30 years and have taken medicine for it every day to keep somewhat balanced.

Health Benefits – Reduced Thyroid Medication

I recently had blood tests taken before renewing my prescription and, to my amazement, I can reduce my medication to taking a pill every other day instead of daily.  I attribute this to constantly clearing my Vishudhi (throat) chakra every day and practicing Thoughtless Awareness with so many of you.

This just proves that if we keep committed to our daily practice of Sahaja Yoga, our health improves, physically as well as mentally and emotionally.

I am far more balanced than I used to be and feeling the joy and gratitude even though there are days when the world seems to be falling apart.

I am beginning to understand what Shri Mataji has been trying to tell us about being a Witness to the Play that is surrounding our lives.

Halton “Christmas seminar’ souvenirs project” from few years back. We had so much fun – truly memorable experiences!

We are surrounded by negative news and many, many sad stories that are negatively impacting all human kind.  I am learning to give bandhans for each and every issue without being tied to the outcome. Normally I would carry the burden on my shoulders and feel helpless to do anything about it.

Balance and Gratitude

Gratitude does not begin to express how much I appreciate this divine guidance during such a challenging year.  Jai Shri Mataji!

I cannot express my sincere feelings of gratitude to the beautiful Yogis from the Burlington/Oakville (Halton region) Sahaja Yoga family who have faithfully shared their precious time and leadership through this challenging Covid 19 year.

Divine Gifts of Collectivity as Daily Blessings

Your divine gifts have obviously come straight from Shri Mataji’s heart through your lips to our ears every morning and evening during the online sahaja yoga meditation sessions offered throughout this tumultuous time.

We have all felt the unconditional love and commitment that you (this sahaja yoga family) have shown to the collective group of beginners and yogis which gathers online each day to learn and grow and raise our kundalini together.

This sahaja yoga family represents a blessing to all of us and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

My sincere love for all of you throughout the holiday season and ….

I look forward to continuing my spiritual growth with all of you in 2021.Rebecca A.

Dear Rebecca, your testimony brought a big smile to my face and I was so happy to hear about the reduced dose of your thyroid medication. The online meditations have indeed helped us in so many ways that we can’t even put all of that in writing. It has definitely made us more peaceful and joyful by bringing our attention to our spirit while doing day to day activities. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience.

Thank you for writing these expressions, Rebecca. I always feel some link to you because maybe it seemed like we were new to seminars at the same time??? not sure… I just feel like our flowers have been growing along side each other in some way. It’s so great how consistent it seems that you’ve been able to do the collective meditations during the pandemic and I’m so happy that you are feeling ongoing new and profound effects.
Also, I would like to share in extending my thanks to the team who has been able to make sure that someone is present to lead SO MANY live sessions- it’s really an amazing feat and an amazing offering that has been made readily available to us all.

Although my attendance is scattered, recently I am feeling so much more strongly connected. It feels so good to meditate and feel that She/the Source is there, is still existing, that I am still part of this divinity and can keep reaching out (by going inward) to find it and feel it. It’s such a blessing and gift. I feel humbled to know you all and to receive your support.

Back to Rebecca, I enjoyed your words, and for some reason would like to highlight these lines especially:
-I am far more balanced than I used to be and feeling the joy and gratitude even though there are days when the world seems to be falling apart.
-I am learning to give bandhans for each and every issue without being tied to the outcome. Normally I would carry the burden on my shoulders and feel helpless to do anything about it.
-Gratitude does not begin to express how much I appreciate this divine guidance during such a challenging year. Jai Shri Mataji!

    With love,
    Kyla

    Dear Rebecca,

What a heartfelt thank you and miracle story! I have seen you absolutely blossom! Especially during the online classes that started during the covid pandemic when the world shut down in March. Meditating daily with you all has been a blessing. We lift each other up! And clearly, you are improving even more these last months. Despite the challenges, we are going deeper. Rebecca your heartfelt questions and comments are always sincere, nurturing, earnest. You are an absolute delightful caring individual. I just adore your genuine character and sense of humor.

I can totally relate to you Rebecca, as I also have a thyroid issue. The first gift Sahaja Yoga gave me was the gift of feeling emotionally balanced. I was always the positive type, however, I struggled to steady my reactions and emotions before my diagnosis, and quite a bit after starting medication for thyroid correction.

I would say this type of meditation directly soothed my nerves and hormones and helped me to un shrug my shoulders from the weight of the world. With my ego, I could not help anyone.

But after self realization, in thoughtless awareness, I experienced the power of detachment. We ask to become an instrument of the divine and a detached witness at the throat level (Vishuddhi chakra). I was suddenly able to handle very highly charged situations with the perspective that did not melt me down, almost like a third person perspective, or what is called in Sahaja Yoga, the witness state. We become the spirit, and get connected to the all pervading power of the universe.

I am becoming a stronger, peaceful yet open hearted and compassionate person. As Shivangna mentioned this evening in the program, a peaceful warrior of pure love for humanity. I can take that pure desire to express compassion and balance myself through the best yoga connection I have ever felt and found. I can be dynamic without getting drained. In just a few short classes, I experienced the proof that there are super powers that get strengthened within us.

This energy fills me up and I (we) just want to share this toolbox to repair the world to everyone. It is the answer to inner peace and world peace, healing and evolution, empathy in action. Namaste everyone. Stay tuned for the online classes for 2021, and let’s “be the change” we want to see in this world. Let these teachings give us brave and open hearts, spread and fill the atmosphere with a wind of change, reaching out and lending helping initiatives through us to the vulnerable and innocents. Let it make us all soldiers of love.
