Chakras as Doors of Perception & What is the Most Beautiful Part of our Being? Answers with William Blake and Canajoharie PHOTOS!

“If the Doors of Perception were cleansed

Everything would appear to man as it is: Infinite.”

says William Blake in the quote above..

We say: “The Doors of Perception are Wide Open towards the Infinite @ Halton Sahaja Yoga Meditation Workshops.” :-)Definitely the energy centers(chakras) represent doors of perception for us. If they were cleansed, as we do during our sahaj workshops we offer during the Halton Classes or seminars or even during our daily meditation practise, then anyone would have an enhanced perception. Each of these 7 chakras represents a portal towards a well defined and unique realm of beauty, responsibility and awareness. What we can accomplish through sahaja yoga meditation is to become citizens of these kingdoms. Interesting is the fact that there is a Union of all these kingdoms at the level of the 7th Chakra: Sahasrara chakra which is also called “The Crown Chakra”. So, let’s see how we can apply William’s Blake prophecy to Vishuddhi chakra for instance (the throat chakra), by using some sahaj wisdom and knowledge of the qualities of this particular chakra like diplomacy, collectivity, detachment:

“When you will clear your Vishuddhi (throat chakra),

your vision will change and you will receive the help from the divine. You will help to change the situation, to join the things together. Like one person came to me and started telling bad things about another person and I told him that that person was telling me so many good things about him. And the next day I found that they became very good friends. So this way we have to enjoy people, to make collectivity strong. If one is in problem we all must help. We are now part and parcel of the whole being. It should happen on the global level. I heard that Germans went to Israel to spread Sahaja Yoga because they were feeling that Germans tortured Jews in the past and now it is their duty to give them self-realization. And this way Israel is in Sahaja Yoga.  Another good story I will tell you that when I was in Egypt, twenty Sahaja Yogis from Israel came to meet the Egyptian Sahaja Yogis and they were like brothers to each other. I never told them to do this, it is coming from inside. It’s an innate bounding. But it will happen only when you are detached. In India casts are a big problem … Hindu – Muslim problem. But in Sahaja Yoga all are together and not bothered about it. Once I asked one Sahaja Yogi about another Sahaja Yogi that whether he is black or white, and he replied that he doesn’t remember whether he is black or white. It is happening only when you are at that high level of Sahaja Yoga and this is love. The mother doesn’t differentiate her children, whether they are black or white. She just loves them. This is the power of love that brings us all together. And the negativity that is separating us will fall down. Before you used to feel jealous about other but by the awakening of Kundalini you will receive this power of love and you will feel love to others.

“The Mayor of  .. (in) Italy was telling me that in the church people want to go out as soon as possible, but here in Sahaja Yoga they are sitting for as long as 10 hours, how come?! It is because they are enjoying love and as they are enlightened, the people who are meeting them, they are also becoming enlightened.

So, today, I am telling you: Don’t waste your time in fighting..”

“..Somebody can be unique but he can have imperfections. So you have to perfect yourself. And trust in yourself that you can perfect yourself, through your Kundalini awakening, clearing your chakras. By understanding yourself you can perfect yourself.” (quotes from Shri Mataji – the founder of sahaja yoga meditation)

** The quote from William Blake that is opening our article I find that’s coming so close in expressing the role of Sahasrara chakra and the importance of opening this ‘lotus with 1000 petals’ as it is named … let’s explore below:

Sahasrara is the most beautiful part of your being.
It is a big lotus with one thousand petals of different colours appearing like inflated flames

It is only the Sahasrara which has to grow, not the Spirit. The more sensitive the Sahasrara is, the more it receives the spiritual qualities of the Spirit. Actually the Peace is felt in the Sahasrara. The bliss is also felt in the Sahasrara, because that is the brain, and the brain is the epitome of the nervous system, the central nervous system, or consciousness itself..
Sahasrara is your Awareness; when it is enlightened you get into the techniques of the Divine.” Shri Mataji (France, 1982)

“Your connection of Sahasrara with the all-pervading power is established and by that you’ll be amazed how all these seven chakras work for you, how they help you, how they try to give you whatever is the real knowledge about everything. This real knowledge that you get is very joy giving. You can see this real knowledge in everything. You don’t have to start reading any book about it. In every situation and in every person, in every flower, in every natural happening, you see clearly the hand of the divine. Once you see the hand of the divine, your ego starts disappearing. Once you say that: ‘it’s You (the divine), You do everything’;’ it’s the divine power that does everything – what am I!? I was just a drop and I fell into this Ocean of Awareness of the divine power and that is taking over and working it out.’

“That will help you a lot to be a great Sahaja Yogi.” (Talk in 1998, Cabella, Italy)

Sahastrara is door to unlimited possibilities; me it’s a way from individual consciousness to the collective conciousness. No matter where I am or how alone I am this interface keeps me connected to the ocean.

Great to see old memories. Thanks for the article.

    Dear Ioana and Halton Team,
Thank you for (re)sending this article with the link(s) to online SYMN classes and Going Deeper sessions conducted during the current Corona Virus pandemic. I continue to be grateful to the founder of Sahaja Yoga, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, for the best gift one could ever ask for – Sahaja Yoga Meditation, which, among its many physical/emotional/mental/spiritual benefits, gives us an enhanced perception and the inner peace… as well as, in my case, the appreciation for the poetry of William Blake. The beautiful photographs are a great reminder of the precious times of being together (without physical distancing and wearing masks) with other Sahaja Yoga practitioners, and, amazingly, attending the on-line meditation sessions has a very similar effect on the subtle system and well being.
