Feb 23 – Three Special Offerings for Our Guru (Dream, Wings, Letter)

Three Special Offerings for Our Guru (Debbie’s Dream, Jo’s Letter and Medi’s Wings)

Older card with photo and quote from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi – the founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation

We invite you to explore this article that gathers together three special offerings for our guru Shri Mataji, with the Mahasamadhi occasion, that falls on February 23rd of every year. This is the time when sahaja yogis reflect on the love they feel for their beloved spiritual teacher and the incessant pure love they continue to receive from Her. The same pure love gives them wings to grow, inspired dreams and profound meditation experiences. Here we selected just three of them, each one being introduced by a quote on the Guru Principle. Enjoy!

Quote 1 on Guru Principle:

Shri Mataji: This Guru Principle within us has to be like a great sage or a great seer, who is above the normal mundane people and sees the things in a proper perspective, and delivers the proper understanding of all this perspective he sees, to his disciples, doesn’t give them distorted or wrong ideas.

So the whole system becomes different if you understand that we have to base all our progress, all our love, all our movements, all our behavior, all our understanding on love. Otherwise your Guru Principle is extremely weak, and after some time you will find you are just standing out of the shores of Sahaja Yoga.”

Read Debbie’s Dream with an Extraordinary Message about Shri Mataji:

“It happened either on May 3rd or May 4th. Very close to the day when we celebrate Sahasrara Day (on May 5th every year) when everyone meditates on the opening of the universal Sahasrara/Crown chakra placed on top of our heads. In my dream we had one of our get togethers with yogis-meditators, the kind we have at least once per week in Halton-Niagara regions, besides the regular classes of course :-). With those occasions we learn more about our Inner Self, evolution, chakras and healing (what we call as ‘going deeper, reaching higher and become wider’ in spirituality), we share our experiences and bond more with each other as in a family; that’s an awesome feeling of belonging that is just natural and nourishing.

So, there it was with us a person who looked like Shri Mataji. She was talking to us and then she asked me “who is Shri Mataji?”.

I said “Shri Mataji is the founder of Sahaja Yoga”.

She said “what else”?

I said “She opened our Sahasrara, our crown chakra“.

She then said “and what else ?”

I said “She is Divine”.

Then She answered back, correcting me She saidNo, She is The Divine“.

It was so beautiful and filled my heart to have had such a dream from Mother who is our Teacher, our Guru.

Love always – Debbie (you can also watch here, Debbie’s live video testimonial)

Letter from Joanne (Yogini from United Kingdom)Flowers painted by Ana Bianca from Burlington

Quote 2 on Guru Principle:

Shri Mataji: “You must know that any amount of my talking, any amount of my giving you blessings or anything is not going to work out, unless and until we really develop our own Guru Principle, and the depth.”

Joanne’s Letter and Poem are shared below:

“It is good for us to do so (sharing poems) as it’s sharing vibrations with each other. I am also often hesitant about sharing things I have written. Here is a short poem I wrote about a week ago. For a few days around the anniversary of Mother’s Maha Samadhi, we had the opportunity to go at different times to our UK centre at Bloxham Farm near Leamington to meditate in the puja room in the house or in Mother’s bedroom. The rooms were prepared in the hope that our Holy Mother would come and stay there when She visited the UK but She never had the opportunity to come – physically that is. It was the first time I had been in the bedroom and I was stunned by the vibrations; I cannot put into words how intensely strong and beautiful they were. I have no doubt at all that Mother is residing there in the room prepared so lovingly for Her. I was in bliss for several hours afterwards and wrote these inadequate but heart-felt lines.

MEDITATION IN YOUR ROOM

(Bloxham Farm – February 2012)

In Your house there’s no sorrow, no blemish, no stain;
Here in Your presence may I ever remain.
No sickness, no worry, no answers to know;
Just coolness, and love; as pure as the snow.

We sat in Your room and felt You pour down
The silence and glory and light all around;
An ocean so deep, a cosmos so wide,
Forgive us if ever we thought that You died.

Much love – Jo”

Medi’s Poem about The Giver of Wings – Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

Quote 3 on Guru Principle:

Shri Mataji:A guru has to be like a Mother, he must have the qualities of the mother – not the modern mothers, but in the real sense of the word: that a guru has to love her children and has to have strength and courage to correct her children. And the earnest desire should be to put the children onto proper lines to guide them and to help them to Rise. “

____She flew away____

11.03.18

She flew away

To give me the wings

To fly with Her

What I couldn’t do

While She was still on earth

I flew far away

I saw here from there

I saw nothing but Her

I left Her alone

Tears in my eyes

Heart full of joy

To come back to you

The Truth to tell

O sisters and brothers

O people of the world

Half of me is here

Half of me with Her

Call everyone on earth

Even those already dead

 Or still not born

To become one within me

To find Her again

To fly over there

No one has ever been

I should warn you dear

Who close your eyes to see even better

If with wings you see yourself there

She is flying in you of that be aware

Note: What has Debbie from Burlington, Medi from North York and Joanne from UK in common: they all practice sahaja yoga meditation and they all feel connected to their motherly teacher and yoga guru, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi (1923 – 2011). The few quotes from Shri Mataji are all from the very special talk on the Guru principle in 1989 at Cabella. FYI: This Saturday it is celebrated internationally, informally, the Teacher’s Day for sahaja yogis from all around that gather together to pay respect to their spiritual teacher as well to their own innate guru principle; Shri Mataji’s vision was for every human being to become enlightened with Kundalini energy fully awakened, attain spontaneously the state of yoga and transform from within into a motherly guru or teacher (!, yes, man or woman or child to manifest this soothing motherly quality towards him/herSelf and towards the entire humanity). The components of this article (Debbie’s dream, Joanne’s poem and Medi’s poem) arrived in different points in time and not related to each other. Today, with the desire of dedicating an article to “Sahaj Guru Day”, we gathered together these glimpses on what a guru or spiritual teacher can represent to those they are connected to. Enjoy the next three links below if you want to dwell more in the realm of pure love and knowledge on Teacher-Pupil or Guru-Disciple ancient relationship. Therefore we used this Teacher’s Day to remember Shri Mataji’s Mahasamadhi Day: Feb 23, 2011.

Dear Ioana and Debbie, thank you for sharing this. I felt very strong vibrations reading the experience of Debbie – my entire sahasrara opened up and filled me with so much joy.
Dear sister Jo and brother Medi, the poems were filled with madhuriya and one can really sense the deep connection, peace and yoga only our Guru has bestowed upon us. May we be able to carry this pure torch of Sahaja yoga so others can imbibe this beauty and security that they’re longing for. May we become our Guru’s disciples in its real sense.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Love,
    Anjali

She is the pure desire in us all. That is our Mother. We are the pure Spirit, the source of everything and beyond everything, according to our desires. She is our pure desire. May we all know ourselves and become what our Guru, and our Mother, wishes us to be.

The dream letter from Debbie has tremendous vibrations…even way over hear in Croatia…I can feel it. That is what is the point. To feel and have the ability to absorb the beauty of words, art, actions, deeds, people, nature, music, movies, sentiments. Essentially to feel the truth of something not only as a gut feeling, but a surge of heavenly vibrations from inside, out.
